Mara shifted a little and let out a faint groan. “If someone is behind me…” she said sleepily, trailing off midsentence. ‘Not like I could do much if someone was’, her tired mind concluded.

“Urrrr..” Ryo said stupidly, completely lost as to what was going on. He let out an annoyed sigh, “Please be so nice as to fill me in as to what is going on.”

Maia thought she heard talking again; she was too tired of checking only to find out that it was a false alarm. “ Ryo..” She said, her voice showing how tired she was. “If that’s you.. Just wake me up instead of hiding… ” she trailed off.

Ryo looked up at the tree line and scanned for the girl. He wasn’t having any luck seeing her though. He glanced back and saw the man he had bumped into behind him, “Do you know her?” He asked.

Maia slowly turned towards the sound of the noise. She stifled a yawn, and opened one of her eyes half way. She looked around slowly. “Was it only my imagination…?” She sleepy asked herself. She yawned and readjusted her robes, looked around again quickly to be sure, before finally resting against the tree again.’ It’s getting hard to keep blaming the wind.’ She thought, letting her eye close again.

Ryo stared blankly at the door. “What the hell just happened?” he asked, not really expecting an answer. He shook his head to relieve himself from his momentary stupor, and then ran out the door after the girl. He caught a glance of her as she ran into the forest. “Aw, hell.” He grumbled before running into the forest after her.
