Well, about the piano, I thought the same two years ago...and I'm not in Piano classes. It's simple! You only need a piano or something similar and to know that an specific key is La or is DO, and know how to read a sheet (it's not difficult, I assure you). Start with songs you've listened, or easy songs (if you like Final Fantasy, take a look at http://ffmusic.ffshrine.org/ ,there're easy sheets)
And with time and pacience (don't worry about your lack of time, you only need few time, at least 5min each day), you'll improve without noticing it!
I know how to play medium-to-difficult-for-me sheets, and I think I'm going well...^^

um...i also got sum stuff 4 my ipod, an electric piano, a new computer, new printer, japanese vase colection along with new japanese chopsticks, cds, shoes, and clothes. the japanese things were the best! that's awesome how u have a shirt with ur japanese name on it! I got a vase and a poster with my name in kanji. Japan rox!! ^_^ lol
