Dark_AlchemistHaha, all your Agesutos are up there. <3 I like his japanese name.

I SHOULD use Braveheart, if only cuz it would be absolutely hilarious. I'm addicted to this soundtrack. Especially disk two. It has Divinity, and Jenova, and Sephiroth ... and if you don't know what I'm talking about by now ... you need to go back to Popular Japanese Movies School.

Today I hung out in the coolest little room at lunch. There's usually a bunch of people in there playing d&d, but they were taking the ACT, which is a five hour long test in case you were unawares, so that left the little room pretty much empty. I mean, it could be a closet. It's that small. And it's unlocked, too. So I hung out there for lunch. This has been a day in the life of me. ::bows::

The fma is out too, in case you were wondering. That's where I got the picture of Garfiel crossdressing. It was on the second-to-last page. Other than that, it's pretty much Hoenheim emoing, and little-kid Ed looking insanely cute in his overlarge pyjamas, then it cuts to present-day amestris, and we are given some lovely shots of people at Briggs running around screaming, then it cuts to that lovely shot of Garfiel in a pretty little dress. And that's pretty much the entire chapitre. Which obviosly means you should go read.

Dark_AlchemistUh, what's Gedric's surname? Because he makes a minor appearance in my story. He's in the Royal Guard, and he's August's best friend. I need his surname cuz that's what the captain of the Guard would call him. They are very professional. So yeah. Gwen will probably only be mentioned in passing, but she's a laundry maid in the guest quarters. August was adopted by the company's owner. So he's not really a prince, per se, but the company's so big and important it amounts to pretty much the same thing. He was adopted because the owner of the company doesn't have any children of his own. He doesn't even like August much. August's parents are dead, and he knows he has a little sister, but they've never met and he doesn't even know her name. If someone had told him, he wouldn't remember it. The city is really two cities, The main city where August and friends live, which is powered by the company (it's an energy company) so they live very comfortably in the city. Here, women are considered useless; they stay at home and do house work and raise a family. Single women occasionally have jobs like Gwen, but never jobs that require public relations, especially if they have no parents. The people are racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic. The rest of the population lives in what could be considered slums, the other 'city' known as Edge (because it's on the edge of the main city. In Edge, electricity is a rarity, usually reserved for hospitals and such. Edge is equal-opportunity, multicultural, based entirely on skill. Parenteage is worth virtually nothing. Kitsune lived in Edge just prior to becoming August's bodygaurd, which she heard about through Bella, who makes an appearance in this story as Gedric's girlfriend, who frequents a bar above which Kitsune lives. Gedric doesn't know she's an Edgian. He assumes she lives with her parents in the City (which needs a name) as most girls her age would. She is also an orphan. Most Edgians are orphans or foundling children. Almost everyone either grew up in an orphanage or in another city. There are lots of foreigners and feminist Organisations alive in Edge, and anything goes. There are other cities in the country. The extent of the country is pretty much how far the energy Fields reach. The other cities are much the same, either big commercial cities like the Central City where August lives, or small, self-sufficient communities like Edge. The Edge-like communities get more common the closer you get to the border, and the farther you are from Central. Out there, you also find fewer big cities that benefit from the Energy. The company is more or less like any big Corporation, and they pretty much rule the country, so August is, essentially, a prince, seeing as he will inherit the Company, and whomever owns the Company rules the Country. There is a Parliament, but they're really not worth anything. They just exist so the population thinks they actually have say in what happens. Which they don't. Clothing is 'tunics', which have high, mandarin collars and are tied with a sash, pants that go in at the ankle, and slipper-like shoes in the cities, and more normal-looking outfits in the slums like Edge, though it is not uncommon to own one set of the 'rich clothing' (usually second-hand) just in case you need to go into the city, though frequenters of the slum-like areas usually consider them flamboyant and unnecesary. The slum-like areas are lit with candles and oil-lamps. Businesses usually use the lamps. Only the richest have lamps in their homes, the poorest have torches. Candles, whilst not quite as expensive as lamps and not even close to the rarity that is electric lights, they aren't cheap, so if you're at home after dark, you're probably asleep. There are phone booths, but few Edgians have phones in their homes. Edgians are actually pretty well educated, and used-bookstores are quite common. Few can afford new books, and there are libraries for the poorer folk. Surprisingly few people in the slums are functionally illiterate, and the number who can't read at all is even less. The Royal Guard is an irony and a misnomer, because they are simply the Company's security force. Guns are rare and old-fashioned, but not unused. Bows are more common, but most of the Guard uses swords. The only real requirement to join is the ability (and willingness) to fight, but there is an unspoken expectation that you will have read the Swordsman's Companion, which is more or less a guide on the 'official' way to fight. Few Edgians even know the book exists, and it's pretty much granted that none of them have read it. Kitsune had never heard of it prior to becoming August's bodyguard, and she is definately an excellent fighter. They don't test your knowledge of it, they just expect that you have to have read it to know anything about fighting. So it's assumed that if you're good enough to try out for the Guard you will have it memorised as they do. Both August and Gedric have the Companion pretty much memorised. That's not to say Edgians don't fight. They do. They just each have their own style, rather than following a standard style. However, Edgians are not organised in any way, nor do they have the numbers they would need if they wanted to rebel. You have to take into consideration that the Guard is an organised force, in addition to the Police force. Most Edgians are just normal people. The few fighters they have could win in a one-on-one battle easily, but they are horrendously outnumbered and as a group wouldn't stand a chance against the Guard and the Police. Edgian fighters take the less glamourous (or even illegal) jobs, Bounty Hunter being the most common, and Swords-for-Hire (these usually protecting folk who delight in illegal ventures). They rarely end up in the Police Force or Royal Guard. (the country actually needs these hunters, to track down dissenters. But it's considered dishonerable, to the occupants of the city. It's only dishonerable to an Edgian if you're selling out another Edgian.) The tunic that they wear in the Cities has multiple variations and such, like the option of sheeves, the sash, the length, and such. August prefers the most common style, with long sleeves, sash, about butt-length. Kitsune's tails are very odd. (it's usually the same length all around). Her pants are also unusual; they are baggier than is accepted, they don't tie at the bottoms, and they have all those belts around the top. Her geta are also uncommon; kicking is not in the accepted style of the companion. Then, kunai and shuriken, her preferred weapons, aren't either. Long sleeves on the garment are considered 'classy', especially bell sleeves (like August's). Sometimes a loose-sleeved shirt is worn under a sleeveless tunic. There is no clothing 'code' in the Slums, you just wear whatever. Their clothing is not as chinese in appearance, but more modern. God, I'm stopping now. I think this is my longest non-story-excerpt comment. It's two wordpad-screens long. Not that that tells you much, cuz you can change the size of the wordpad screen.

Dark_AlchemistOkay, so I was reading Bleach (in japanese) and I got to this one speech bubble. I was like '... zomg I actually understand what he's saying!' Then I read the next one, and I understood that one, too! (They said, more or less, '---What ... that is ...' It waS Byakuya talking after Ichigo went Swastika.)

I need a photobucket account. How do you get one?

Dark_AlchemistHehehe, I got the August/Kitsune picture up.

Ugh, it makes me mad that ametsubame STILL hasn't gotten 141 up. D<;; Of course, it's probably just Fay emoing and Sakura angsting, and Syaoran angsting because Sakura is angsting, and maybe Kuro getting Syaoran drunk. But still. I mean, 142 is probably out by now, and we don't even have 141 yet. What's up with this? I wish Zomgfta did Tsubasa. Actually, they really are only efficient when it comes to hagaren, everything else takes forever. xD;; but we still love them, cuz at least they can get their title series out within a decent time frame ....

I should shut up.
