Okay, so do you remember those desert ruins near Ishbal? A fan scanlation I read translated that as Xerxes. Right? (the Katakana was kuserukusesu) Now, those idiots at VIZ went and translated it as ... this weird thing with a couple of c's, a k, and waaaaaaaayyyy too many s's: in other words, CSELKCESS. Now, that makes sense how? How is that mess even pronounced? Why am I bringing this up now? Well, I was looking up something in the dictionary and I got sidetracked in the X's trying to see if I could find any of the Nobodies' names. Crap, I'm a nerd and I came across Xerxes, completely out of the blue. Xerxes was a king in fifth-century-BC Persia. And then, I went to look up that load of crap up there. Guess what it meant? NOTHING. It wasn't there. A coincidence? Maybe, but somehow I doubt it. I think Arakawa-sensei knew what she was doing. Somehow I don't think she came up with six random Katakana for the fun of it. Which translation would you choose to believe, the one that actually has some background in history, or the one that is just a bunch of unpronounceable fluff? Hmmm ... okay, that's all. NEVERMIND I LIED I'M NOT DONE RANTING YET! A further supporting factor for Xerxes is that ku followed by a syllable beginning with s = X, because there is no x in japanese. Now, I think we should look at the numerous examples (yes, I have examples!): #1 - aKUSEru = Axel. Yeah, okay, pretty good. #2 - roKUSAsu = Roxas, NOT A BUNCH OF OTHER CRAP! Also, the katakana for Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Demyx, Saïx ... all of these prove it. So, um ... hello? As my eighth grade teacher told us, 'Use that lump two and a half feet above your @$$.' (actually, I don't think he really said @$$, but I can't remember what word he used and @$$ is what I would use ...) Meaning your HEADS, stupid 'official' translators. DO YOUR HOMEWORK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, LIKE THE REST OF US FAITHFUL FANS DO. And that, my friends, is why I don't buy much english manga anymore. Plus I don't like the size, and it's rediculously overpriced.

Yeah. But I found it on my own. Where on the site is the Edward thing? I couldn't find it ... but I like the girl she picked out for Alice. I was like, 'perfect!' because that was kind of freakishly close to how I imagined her. Ah, well ... No one else was like that. One of the possible Bellas looked too ... perfect, I guess. I think it was the one who was the 'favourite' for the role, not one of the people she picked. But she just didn't look right. Maybe she just looked too old, or something. I dunno, I should shut up.

On a similar note, I started writing out the stuff that happens to Astarael, Shruikan, Psyn, and Phantom. Well, not Phantom and Psyn so much, because it's actually mostly Astarael. They are my happy characteres. C: It starts ... actually, more or less where we are now. I was thinking of doing it in a manga format, but we all know that every time I say that, it doesn't get done. So yeah.

I actually have another little plot. Again, though it is a bit longer than the last one. The one that was two measly lines of dialogue. But it's still Psyn and Teacup. And I also have the thing that involves Gwen getting lost. So yeah. We need another three-day weekend so you can come over.

Hmm ... speaking of which, have you found your memory card yet? I don't want to play all that again. Especially those REALLY ANNOYING battles in beast's castle. Dx And all of the annoying tutorial crap.

I swear that there was something else I wanted to say, but I can't remember what ... I hate this. It's so annoying. I always think I have a ton to say, but then when I go to type it, I can never remember any of it.

We have a field trip on wednesday. It's a play, and I really don't care how good it is, because I get to skip math. I feel really sorry for the people who have Kary B or C block, because she's not letting them go. That would really suck. I don't want to have any Kary classes. But I have to, either that or independant study. Which apparently she doesn't let anyone do. So I'm really glad I had to take global studies last year. BUT I GET TO TAKE US HISTORY NEXT TERM OH JOY. Though I swear, I have had more than enough US history. If we overteach anything in this country, that is it. Goes to show you just how self-centered and conceited our lovely little government is. I'll probably cheat and dig up my eighth grade history notes, to minimise the amount of work I have to do. Because that's what I did the entirety of eighth grade history. Oh well. I should shut up. But I think I'll be really glad I saved those notes somewhere ...
