well..Jamal doesnt know because he has never used it...but you cant turn it on and off...the second you turn it on, it stays on...its sorta like when he looks at you, you dont even have to look at him, 97% of the time you will die...but after 20 seconds (that is the estimated limit that Jamal can hold it for) it will engulf the user in darkness...and 99.2% of the time...kills him...but my OC doesnt know that...all he knows is that it will kill him
