If you're just stuck somewhere, don't forget, in Super Mario World, you can safely Spin Jump off of nearly ANY enemy sprite. Thwomps? Spin jumpable. Spiney things Lakitu drops? Spin jumpable. You can even Spin Jump off of certain fireballs, and a Magikoopa's magic shot! XD

It's [Game Maker's] a free computer program (Well, free with certain features locked unless you buy them, but us pirates find a way to get around that. ;P ) that lets you make games, hence Game Maker. You can upload ripped sprites from existing games found at sprite archives to use with it, or you can make your own if you're a good sprite artist. Which, I'm not.

There's also Anvil Studios, if you wish to make your own MIDI music for use with Game Maker as well, though I'm not sure if it's still around, or free... Got my copy years ago.
