I'm doing a series of angbangy illustrations based off some of my favorite pieces of art. Waterhouse's "Lady of Shalott" happened to be on that list.  This is just my reinterpretation of that piece of art but instead we have a very sad Mairon rowing a boat up to the door of night and being all sad panda that his Master was defeated and cast away into the Void.

Odds and ends to note: Mai is fingering his engagement "one" ring in his hand, the tapestry depicts a dumbed down and funky interpretation of the final battle of Angband, and when it comes to that face between the trees just interpret it as you see fit. Maybe it's the green man keeping watch over Melkor's prison or maybe it's an artistic way of representing Melkor behind that black veil.

Tuntun422I'm floored by your level of artistic talent but also your attention to detail and how this must have taken shuch a long time to create.
Bravo!

FirielDude, so much detail. I'm liking the faces in the trees and the figures on the tapestry hanging off the side of the boat. Also, Dark Lord Jr. as a Weepy Distressed Damsel is - conceptually amusing.
