yay! it's spike! drawn while watching adult swim. argh his hair is awesome, but is soo hard to draw!<br />

used reference i found online, and even attempted the background. heh yea i didn't do the best job on that- it was my first time trying any mechanical thing like a ship, and er i kinda rushed it. o well. Please Comment!!

o yea i forgot to respond to this... oops... but thank you very much! yea those drawings at megatokyo were awesome! i liked the style. and yea i gotta work on drawing machines... i'm too accustomed to drawing people, i think.<br />

Yey for backgrounds! I think you did it very nicely. You captured the depth and it is very easy to see. It actually reminds me of Fred's art from Megatokyo:<br />

He just takes a few lines and whips together a chair, one line to make a bottle and a few other lines to make this section of the room. He captures depth extremely well while you can tell, by how loose it is, it isn't taking him much time to draw because of his practiced skill. He has pretty much mastered minimalism, taking as little lines as possible to create the image desired effectively.<br />

Machines are kind of hard because they are so consistent. If you accidentally shift something to where it isn't supposed to be or do something wrong, because of this consistency, it is easy to tell. However, if you know how to draw machines well then this actually works for you because you pretty much know how it is supposed to turn out.<br />

As for which face is better, I couldn't tell you =P I love watching anime but I just don't have the time! Argh! Oh well, such is life. You drew him very well though, I love the shading and rippling cloths ;)
