AIKIDO LIGER

A long long time ago, I made a few comic strips based (very loosely) off the Aikido classes I took in 9th and 10th grade. This character is Aikido Liger, the cartoon representation of Sensei Kraus.

Before that, I was (unfortunately) the quiet kid in the corner. You know, the one relentlessly being picked on by the other students. My parents thought it would do me some good to learn how to be assertive. Enter the Aikido classes.

Four years later, I haven't forgotten all the lessons I learned. You could say they were just martial arts classes, but to me they were moral and morale builders, and I wouldn't be as confident or persistent as I am today if I never had them.

So here's a big thank-you to Dr. Kraus. Domo Arigato!
