REAL LIFE:
June 2008, Summer after High School Graduation. I've made Saludictorian in my class and am attending Mississippi State University as a Distinguished Scholar; I'm one of the eleven freshmen this year receiving the University's largest scholarship. What I think I'm the most happy about is the present Mom and Dad have given me; the funds to let me make a most unique costume, a "fursuit" of my beloved role play character.
... I aim to get it done before I enter University!

April 15, 2010, two weeks before finals. I'm a really busy sophomore in Computer Science and Engineering. The free time I shouldn't have but make anyways when I'm fed up with studying, I devote to this project. Several times I almost thought I'd never finish due to waning inspiration, my school schedule, and unsuccessful attempts at making complex parts of the costume... But today's different. The emerald for Wing's sword arrived in the mail today. MY COSPLAY IS FINALLY COMPLETE! @w@

I was planning to get it done in two months? Really?! Wow, I was a naive little freshman. 8D
Well, nearly two years later Wing is DONE. I'm awfully proud of this costume...and I mean, AWFULLY proud.

She has a moving jaw and a computer fan in the muzzle to keep me cool. I had to figure out on my own how to make all the other fancy things work: Flattening ears, the moving wing, how to keep her one-piece top stationary and OH DEAR GOD THE NOSE I REDID IT AT LEAST THREE TIMES NEVER AGAIN.

Wing pretty much sparkles all over: Her claws, feet paws, and moon pieces glow in the dark. The sword was built around a battery-operated glow rod. Her eyes glitter thanks to ANIME MAGICAL GIRL SPARKLE(Thank you Emily for re-labeling my fabric paint bottles).

Oh yes, and I'm bringing her to A-Kon 2010. I won't be hard to miss, especially if you're going to be present at the Cosplay Skit... =)
