Description
I hand-sculpted this coin out of clay, then cased it in a metal alloy. Then, I coated it in black acrylic, and wiped most of it away. Then, I painted a gold metallic paint over it, and came out with that antiqued look. I then hot-glued a thin leather strip to use as a cord to the back so I didn't have to make an unattractive loop at the top of the coin to wear it. A VERY difficult project that was VERY time-consuming. But in the end, I love the result and am the only person around with something like this.

You people need to stop jumping to conclusions. Did you ever put your detective skills to work and use your brains to figure out if he is lying? Obviously not. Well, I did. And found proof he actually made that. Here, this is a picture of the replicas sold all over the place. http://www.scifireplicas.se/ProductDetails.php?ID=436 The replicas sold all over are much flatter. Compare the foreheads to the skulls. There is a difference.
And here's another small difference. Look at the top right spoke. To the righ tof the top triangle. There are four small circle/beads on it, where as the replica only has three there.
Plus, he has more outer rings!! There are noticable differences people!! Now, check before you point the finger!

You are more than welcome to believe anything you choose to. I know what I have created, and most other artists are not short-sighted enough to know what I have created as well. As for buying coins on eBay, you are right. They have been around for awhile. But when I made mine, they WEREN'T commercially available as far as I know. They did not start mass-producing them until 2 years or so after the film was made. My coin was made a few months after the original film's release. The date I posted the photo of mine here was in 2004 - also before the commercial release of the coins as well as far as I know. All true art has its flaws, and you can clearly see mine toward the bottom of the coin. If you purchased anything that was flawed the same way, you weren't a smart shopper since apparently it is so easy to buy these coins that you would not need to buy imperfect ones. But like I said, you are free to believe whatever you want. As a paid artist by profession, you cannot possibly have anything to say that I will take to heart.
As for everyone else who has commented, thank you for your time and I'm glad you're enjoying my art.

I'm going to hop on the bandwagon and say zach is an idiot. Considering your other artwork I have no doubt you could manage this too---and if you hadn't then I would be wondering why you hadn't because the technique to mke it is exactly how to make things like this. Great job on it, clay is a pain to work with, especially for something that small. I find it kind of amusing how you go through all that and then use hot glue, but it looks great (who's going to see the back but you anyway?)

*claps and whistles* You tell 'er!! ^o^
GREAT peice of art, that's... that's unbeleivably good. Love all those tiny little details, like the slits next to the triangles.. (I don't know.. figure it out. :P) The skull, especially the teeth, look wonderful, 'tis truly an exelent display. :) And so tiny, too! It may not be 'perfect', but it's just about the best someone could do. Now, I'm off to look at the rest of your gallery! *struts away*

1.) I'm a girl. not a guy
2.) Everything you find in my gallery is surely created by my own hands.
There are obvious flaws (just like in everyone else's work). For instance, if you look in the bottom right of the coin, I accidentally squished it a bit flat before I fired it. It is not "perfect".
I DID make this myself. If you were wondering how I did the technical patterns, I used various objects. i.e. needle tools, razor blades, etc. Small things for intricate work...
It took me weeks to make this. If you choose not to believe it, that is your own option. I will not let it get to me because *I* know I made this and I won't reduce myself to getting worked up over one person's rudeness.
