*day of the funeral. They all go to the New Mobotropolis cemetary. It's an emotional moment. Almost the whole city had gathered there. Sonic's close friends and family get a front view of the body. The whole thing is even posted on the radio*

Sonic: *his whole body has been covered in so many bandages, that he looks like a mummy*

Preacher: *saying the vows*

Eclipse: *sobbing*

Vorace: *bows his head respectfully*

Jacob: *same as Vorace*

Lightning: *see vorace and jake's post*
Twilight: *having known him personally, she was more distraught*
Skye: *had managed to control her crying, but her face was still tear-streaked. she holds a crutch with her right arm, keeping her right foot off the floor*

Preacher: *finishes up the funeral vow* ...Ashes to ashes... dust to dust... May this be the beginning of a newer, greater life, Sonic the Hedgehog... *closes the book*

Eclipse: *lets out a sob, and covers his face with a tightly-gripped hand*

Strike: yeah....... skye's not doing too well either..... he was her hero, you know. i remember when people started calling her the second blue blur. she was ecstatic! .... she raced sonic when we were 15. it was really close.........

Scorch: i remember that....... he was the one that got her running in the first place....

Eclipse: ... he was everyone's hero... a great mobian who did everything he could to save innocent lives... *huge sob* a miss him already...! *tears up again*

Vorace: *stirs a bit*

Strike: hey eclipse.... he's in a better place now.... he doesn't have to worry anymore......

Eclipse: but we'll never see each other again... he was more than my godfather! He was my FRIEND...

Vorace: *extremelly dazed* nrrrrr... where is... Skye...?

Scorch: well, eventually you will, i guess... but let's not get into that.

Strike: skye's fine, vorace. you can go see her if you want. room m-32. second floor. want me to come with?

Eclipse: yeah... eventually...

Strike: okay. *goes out the door and waits for vorace*

Scorch: ......sonic's funeral is tomorrow.... hopefully they fix him up by then.....

Vorace: *zombie-slowly follows Strike*

Eclipse: but... you said he died in an explosion... how the HELL are they going to fix him?

Scorch: *shrugs* i've seen it before. they'll cover those wounds up SOMEHOW.....

Strike: *leads vorace to the med room* you can go talk to her.

Eclipse: ... ...

Vorace: *opens the door and shambles in, tired beyond belief, but too worried for Skye to care*

Scorch: .....i know you want a moment alone. i have things to attend to...... just remember, eclipse. you have friends here. *leaves*

Skye: *had been watching the news, but at seeing vorace, she turns it off. her torso is bandaged, and there's a brace on her leg, but nothing too bad* vorace? jeez, you look terrible... *motions to a chair next to the med bed*
Strike: *comes in and closes the door behind him. he just stands around*

Eclipse: *a small smile tugs at the corner of his mouth* yeah... I do... *lays down on his bed, and falls asleep almost immedietally*

Vorace: *practically falls over upon impact of sitting in the chair. He lowers his head into his claws to support himself* Must be from transformation... you do not look so great either...

Scorch: i'm sorry, but if i don't tell him now, he'll find out from someone else...... *sighs* eclipse, sonic is dead.

Eclipse: !!! *he takes the news hard - almost immedietally, tears well up in his eyes, and he can't help but be reduced to a sobbing pile of mush*

Shadow: *pats his son on the back comfortingly*

Scorch: i'm sorry, eclipse. i know how much he meant to you..... if it's any consolation, he died a hero, saving two kids from the explosion that killed him.....

Eclipse: *whimpers, sniffles, looks up at Scorch, then continues sobbing*

Shadow: death happens. Suck it up. Dwell over it, and you won't really live in life.

Eclipse: CAN I NOT GRIEVE??

Shadow: be silent, my son. *points at Vorace* still sleeping.

Scorch: let him grieve, eclipse..... he has the right to miss his godfather. death does happen, shadow, but not all of us are used to it......

Shadow: He should. He should be used to it. Too much death for this family.

Eclipse: *through burning tears, he glares at Shadow*

Scorch: *lives up to his name, and scorches shadow with a glare* all of us here have ALL seen death. that doesn't make it any less horrible shadow. now, if you're going to keep bothering eclipse, (which, obviously, you ARE,) i'm going to have to ask you to leave. *is not kidding*

Shadow: *narrows his eyes at Scorch, unnaffected by the glare* allowed to be with my own son. Try to make him tougher.

Eclipse: you think I'm not tough enough?

Shadow: can't let this death faze you. You must keep going. No matter what.

Scorch: he can get tougher by other means. everyone deserves a chance to mourn. sonic did when you died. after battling the biolizard, and stopping the eclipse cannon. shouldn't you be mourning him?

Shadow: *winces at his comment* time does things to an experiment. Can feel emotions fading. Hard to get a grip on simple joy now. No mourning. Not for me...

Eclipse: you mean... you're losing emotion?

Scorch: acid was made first. he's the same as ever. (maybe even more....) why would your emotions fade first?

HM Eclipse: *roars, and charges at Strike*

HM Eclipse and Vorace: *each stop what they were doing, and clutch their heads, screaming. Finally, both shrink back to thier normal size, and collapse, unconcious*

Strike: *looks around* ....... *turns back, then nudges skye carefully* skye... the sun's up..... it's over.....
Skye: *coughs* thats good then......lemme guess. everyone's unconscious.

Shadow: *walks up the hill - his voice has gotten a bit scratchier over time, though he, himself does not age. He doesn't appear to speak in full sentences right now* heard the screaming. And the roaring. Didn't like that. Came over here to check it out.

Strike: hang on. *stands up* ummm, you know your son's posessed by a demekarr right well, it was harvest moon last night and he went nuts.... along with his kid.....

Shadow: I know. Son's got a problem. Same with demoinc half-grandson. Not good. Help you take them back. Back to HN. *walks over and picks up Eclipse, flinging the hedgebat over his shoulder like a ragdoll* take Vorace.

Vorace: *...*

Strike: okay... *picks vorace up* but what about my sister? i'm not gonna leave her here..... *turns daemon again, and finds it easy to carry both of them* lets get moving..... *starts heading back*

Shadow: *walks back to HNHQ with Strike, both of them carrying at least someone* Can feel it. Something bad's gonna happen. Something REAL bad...

Sonic: *is now pretty much Uncle Chuck Old, he's trying to find his way out of a burning building with two kids in his arms* HANG ON! WE'RE GONNA GET YOU GUYS OUT!

Kids: *hugging Sonic tightly, and crying*

Me: aah! as if we didn't already have ENOUGH problems!!!

Strike: .....you're right...... something's not right.....
Skye: nrff..... ow.
Strike: don't worry, we're almost home...

Scorch: *is somewhat old-ish, 44. he's sitting in the base, not really having much to do. then, he smells something. smoke. he stands up, and looks out the window. he sees the burning building* oh no....... *runs out of his room as fast as he possibly can, passing Manny and Fang as he runs.
Manny: hey scorch! what's the hurry?
Scorch: *stops* there's a building on fire. we have to hurry!
Fang+Manny: !!!

Me: this is a landmark on the timeline, though.

Shadow: *reaches HNHQ* hrm.

Sonic: *has almost reaches an exit, when suddenly, debris falls all around them. It leaves only a hole big enough for the children to get through* GO!

Child: but -

Sonic: GO!!

Children: *looks at Sonic one last time, then exits the burning building into their mother's embracing arms*

Sonic: *notices a box of explosives* oh no...

the whole entire building, after everyone is at a safe distance: *completelly explodes*

Everyone: !!!!!!

Shadow: *see's the explosion, and sighs*

Scorch+Fang+Manny: *get outside, only to watch the building blow to kingdom come* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strike: *hears the explosion and looks around* what was that??

Firemen: *dump buckets upon buckets of water on the building's smoldering remains*

Search Team: *goes looking for Sonic*

Strike: ....... *sets vorace down near eclipse* watch him... *runs off to the med room*

Scorch+Fang+Manny: *run to the site of the exploded building*

Shadow: *nods*

*As Sonic is found, and carried out of the building, people stare. Some weep. All the firemen, except the one carrying Sonic, take off their hats to respect the great hero*

Sonic: *his whole front is now nothing more than a charred skeleton with strings of muscle hanging loosly in some places. His back was completelly black, and blood was dripping everywhere. His organs, now a huge puddle of sticky red and green mess. His eyeballs, still on fire. Game over*

Me: frack. skye's not gonna take this well. he was her role model. he's why she's so fast....... <:(

Strike: *puts skye down on a med-bed (lol rhyme XD)* skye, the doctors'll take care of you. i have to go check something out. i'll be right back, okay?
Skye: *nods weakly* tell me what happened later......
Strike: *runs out of the room, and having left his extreme gear on the hill, he is forced to run towards the destroyed building*

Scorch+Fang+Manny: *watch in horror and grief as the mutilated body of the great hero is carried out of the building. they bow their heads in respect*

Fireman (the one carrying Sonic): *he approaches the three mobians, still clutching Sonic tightly - not caring that his bodily fluids were dripping all over his firefighter suit* you boys seem like you knew him...

Sonic: *blood still leaks - his loose arm dangles - free from the fireman's grip*

Eclipse and Vorace: *...*

Shadow: Sonic. Something happened. Something to HIM... *looks down at his shoes in grief*

Scorch: he helped us while we were still at war with the purebloods...... he was a friend to us.
Manny+Fang: *nod*
Strike: *FINALLY gets there, and sees the situation* oh my god......

Skye: *is being tended to by the doctors. she can sense that something is horribly wrong* .......doc....? can you turn on the news...?

Doctor tending to Skye: ehh... sure... *flicks on the TV*

Reporter on the TV: - ing on fire turned into a horrific nightmare when world-renowned hero, Sonic the Hedgehog was caught in a firey explosion. His remains have been recently found by Firefighter Daniels, and are shown here *a picture of what was left of Sonic is shown* as you can see, the explosion appears to have hit his front area the hardest, and also means that there were illegal explosives hidden in the building... Fortunetally, Sonic managed to save two children before dying his horrible death...

Fireman: there were some explosives in the building that Sonic was in, trying to save these two kids... apparently, they could get out, but he couldn't...

Both Monsters: *are now trying to strangle each other, both desperatly gasping out for air, then roaring, and so on*

Skye: no time for freaking out!! we gotta GO. *carefully approaches the fighting monsters, looking of an opening* ......

Skye: *finds one, and tries to wrench eclipse off of vorace*

HM Eclipse: *snarls, and slams his large fist into Skye*

HM Vorace: *howls in anger, and knocks Eclipse over, biting into his neck like a vampire*

Skye: AAAH! *flies off, but lands on her feet, then stumbles* owww.....
Strike: AAH! *jumps on vorace's back, trying to pry him off eclipse* cut it OUT!!! D:<

HM Vorace: *releases Eclipse, then bites into Strike, and flings him off*

HM Eclipse: *uses the distraction as an opportunity to put Vorace in a stranglehold*

Strike: *hits the ground hard, a big bite mark over his shoulder* rrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Skye: !!!! *jumps onto eclipse's back and bites down onto his neck, knowing she won't do much damage, but trying to distract him enough to let go of vorace*

Strike: *jumps on eclipse too, and claws at his back*

HM Eclipse: *roars, and finally gets off of Vorace... but then he throws himself backwards to crush the siblings*

HM VOrace: *watches in horror*

Strike: *yelps and throws himself off eclipse before he is completely crushed, though his tails got caught under eclipse, and he howls in pain. he looks back for his sister, and he cries out in terror* SKYE!!!!

Skye: *had had her teeth fastened on eclipse's neck, and by the time she let go, he had already fallen on her. she had let out a yelp, then went completely silent, the end of her tail twitching*

Me: must... release... negative... emotions....

Me: YES YOU OBVIOUSLY WANT TO. O_O

HM Eclipse: *gets off, and snorts*

HM Vorace: *is outraged - he checks to see if Skye is alright first, before he kills Eclipse*

Strike: *his tails freed, he scrambles towards his sister* skye! oh my god, please be okay! D:>

Skye: *is still alive. she coughs loudly* agh.... 'clipse has to lose a couple pounds...... *tries to sit up, but coughs again, this time coughing up blood* urgh.... bastard broke my ribs....
Strike: don't overexert yourself, skye... *total concern*
Skye: neh... *she tries to stand, but can't support her weight and falls back down again. she has become so weak, she reverts from her daemon form* goddammit...... *looks to strike, then to vorace* i'll be fine.... you have to promise me, you two.... don't kill eclipse....please... it's not his fault..... *trails off. her breathing is shallow*
Strike: *puts a clawed hand on hers, then looks at eclipse* you better be grateful she made me promise.....

HM Eclipse: *his cold, soulless glare pierces through Strike. His hate is not his own, but rather, the moon, playing with his mind like a marionette*

HM Vorace: *notices that the moon is hugging the ground*

Strike: long story short, eclipse turns into a MEGA HUGE MONSTER OF DOOM THAT KILLS EVERYONE AND DESTROYS EVERYTHING. yeah. basically.

Ulrich: *facepalm* i always forget. i am sorry, eclipse. good luck. *walks back down the hall, heading for his room*

Vorace: the only issue i have with this is the nagging question: will the moon affect ME?

Jacob: it's hard to say, because it's only supposed to affect Condemned... but YOU, Vorace.. YOU are related to the demon.
