Twilight: *averts her eyes and clears her throat* AHEM. let's get back home, okay?

Eclipse: right... *starts heading back*

Twilight: *follows*

Mist: *follows also* ........okay, you guys are confusing me.

Mist: one second you're telling me that you two weren't meant to be together, and the next, you're acting like a COUPLE. wtf?

Eclipse: we... we were friends. We fought in battle, but... but your mother usually fought alongside Lightning. Not me. I usually fought alone. You could call me a lone wolf, I guess. I didn't really want Rosette to get in trouble. I can't blame you for being curious.

Mist: whoa, wait, hold up. Lightning? as in, LEADER OF HN, Lightning?!

Twilight: yup.....

Mist: you two were TOGETHER?

Twilight: ....don't remind me, please........ *sad again*

Eclipse: this was... a BIG jump from the timeline before...

*it starts to snow. For a few minutes, then is silence. An eery nothing between the three... suddenly a noise from behind*

Eclipse: *ears perk. He turns around to see who's there*

*no one is there*

Eclipse: ...?

Inderrettabot: *comes down from the sky, and smashes Eclipse down*

Eclipse: !!!!!????? *falls down, now bleeding in the back of the head from the impact*

Inderrettabot: HAHAHAHAHA!! *stomps on him*

Eclipse: *gets stomped on. He can't throw Inderrettabot off because he doesn't have a demon to help him* AHCK!

Me: REACTION TIME PLZTHNX.

Twilight: !!!!!! *IMMEDIATELY turns to daemon form and barrels into inderettabot, knocking him onto the snow. she pins him to the ground, snarling* WILL YOU EVER STOP?!

Mist: DAD!!! *runs to him* ohgodohgodohgodohGOD.

Inderrettabot: NOT UNTIL ECLIPSE AND SHADOW ARE DEAD!! *fires a beam out of his chest*

Eclipse: *manages to get on his hands and knees, but he's in pain* it's times like these that I remember how POWERFUL my enemies are... rrrrgh... *sees Twilight get hit by the beam* TWILLY!!

Mist: MOM!!! D:>

Twilight: *is hit by the beam and thrown off; she lands on her back in the snow. the fur on her chest, shouleds and arm had been singed by the beam, but she had managed to protect her face* i'm okay... ow... just medium-rare..... *flips back onto her paws, keeping low to the ground so the snow soothes the pain* rrrrrrr.....

Inderrettabot: *turns his attention to his target again*

Eclipse: *manages to stand up*

Inderrettabot: *shoots a grappling hook into Eclipse's chest*

Eclipse: *cries out in pain. His blood turns the white snow under him red*

Mist: *yelps and jumps back* !!!!!

Twilight: *her ears droop* mist, run.

Mist: b-but---

Twilight: NOW!! *runs towards the cable of the hook, and chomps down on it, then tugs hard towards eclipse, pulling inderettabot forward*

Mist: !!!! ..... *runs*

Inderrettabot: !!!! *once close to Twilight, he slams his heavy metal arm into her face*

Eclipse: k-k-k-k!!... *BLEEEDDDIIIINNNG*

Twilight: *has an idea, and takes the hit. it breaks her nose. she lets go of the cable, and suddenly shoves a bunch of snow into the robot* freeze, bot. >:)
Frigitt: *freezes the snow solid, trapping inderettabot*

Me: freezing lubricants totally jams up mechanical stuff.

Inderrettabot: NO!!! *can hardly move now, and he sparks a little*

Eclipse: *still bleeding*

Twilight: *turns away from indybot and to eclipse, she turns back into her normal form* oh god, eclipse..... *kneels down on the snow next to him. she doesn't dare touch the hook* i-incendie?
Incendie: <mhmm. go ahead.>
Twilight: *puts her hand near eclipse's wound, and an orange light flares from her hand as incendie transfers to eclipse*

Eclipse: *shudders at the daemon is transferred to him. More blood oozes out of the wound*

Twilight: hurry....
Incendie: <i'm working as fast as i can......> *works on healing eclipse* <......when i tell you, remove the hook. just pull it out.>
Twilight: <o-okay...>

Eclipse: *is healing. His thumb twitches. Snow is falling on the hedgebat*

Incendie: <......now.>
Twilight: *grabs the hook and yanks it out, making blood drip everywhere*
Incendie: *quickly starts healing the hole left behind*
Twilight: *stares at the bloody hook in her hand, then tosses it aside, leaving a red mark in the snow around it*

Eclipse: *grimaces from the painful tug at the hook. He even cries out slightly. He is almost done healing* ...

Twilight: ......
Incendie: <just a bit more......>
Twilight: .........
Incendie: <.......done.>
Twilight: *passes her hand along where the hole was, and sighs in relief*
Inendie: *returns to twilight the same way she left*

Eclipse: *slowly opens his eyes* aaauuugh... how am I still alive...?

Twilight: incendie saved you..... she healed your wound. *puts a hand on his* i'm just glad you're alive........

Twilight: with an aura like his, it would have been easier...... he was a great mobian......

Mist: *stops in front of felix's grave* ......... *bows her head* i miss you....

Me: those two were close. she and leo are really close, too. felix died the same way here as in the other timeline.

Me: yes... I can imagine it was like that...

Eclipse: He was... and that aura of his DID help... ... sure he was old, but... but I can't help but think of how many more days we could have joked around... hung out... played video games... *sniff* I was actually closer to him than I was to Dad...

Twilight: he WAS always around.... and he was really easy to talk to.... i don't think Mobius will ever forget him.......

Mist: ........

Eclipse: I don't think the UNIVERSE would will ever forget him... he was just one-of-a-kind...

Twilight: *nods sadly* yeah.... it'll be a long time 'till the universe will see another mobian like him...... *realizes they're still hugging, and blushes slightly, but doesn't care. she knows he needs someone, and that's all that matters* .........

Mist: ..... *bows her head to the grave* bye..... *starts walking back, but takes her time*

Eclipse: *notices this as well, but needs the comfort* ... ... ... I want to try and... be like him... I want to try and save mobians. Be a good friend. Do all he did...

Twilight: you already are a good friend.... and now that you're free from condemned, you can do way more good... not that you haven't already. <:)

Mist: *taking her tiiiiime*

Eclipse: we should take Mist home, first...

Amy's Grave: *is next to Sonic's grave. I can't believe I've never mentioned this*

Eclipse: *gets on his knees infront of Sonic's grave... ...and hugs the grave stone, tears suddenly welling up and silently falling from his eyes*

Mist: <:( *thinking* one thing hasn't changed... he still misses Sonic just as much.... maybe even more.......

Twilight: *gets down on her knees next to eclipse, and puts a hand on his shoulder. she then realizes that this won't help at all and just hugs him*

Me: agh, forgot to ask. you want mist to go somewhere else and give them a moment alone? like to talk? or will eclipse have nothing to say?

Me: Well... really it's up to you... it really won't matter... and if she stays, she'll learn a little more about Eclipse and Sonic's relationship... further than this timeline.

Eclipse: *breaks into a sob, though, with a shaky hand he lightly holds onto Twilight's arm as a way of thanks*

Me: well, i've got nuthin. ^^; i'll have mist leave anyways.

Mist: ....... *quietly* i'm gonna go visit felix, okay? <:( *walks off*

Twilight: *watches her walk off, then turns back to eclipse* ...... you miss him so much...... i had no idea....

The Bottom of Zephcorp: *black smoke snakes out from all windows that are open. The workers on the bottom floor run out coughing, not exactly knowing what happened*

MEANWHILE IN THE LAB

Inderretta: *suprisingly, though he caught most of the blast, is still alive - but barely. His clothes are somewhat on fire, and he looks as blackened and bleeding as Sonic... though luckier. The bomb wasn't as powerful as the illegal explosives, so Inderretta survived... he's unconcious*

The Lab: *is on fire*

Inderrettabot: *is now free. His shackles have melted off* heheheheh... *takes out a small nocturnal, strides to the door, places the nocturnal onto it, and made it so that the door let Inderretabot out, then slammed and locked shut behind him once he was saftley out*

Nocturnal: *still clings to the door*

Mist: oh my god, DAD ZEPHCORP'S ON FIRE! D8> WE HAVE TO GO!!!

MEANWHILE

Twilight: d-devon!! *carefully gets out from under him* oh my god, devon!! *notices the nocturnal on the door* ........rrr........

Mist: *waits impatiently*

Door: *finally gives in, and crashes to the ground*

Eclipse: well, Mist... I'm going to tell you the story now... but this story comes with a story before it. Once upon a time, there was a boy who was very angry. His own father had to abandon him in order to allow him to be safe... if he didn't, the boy would have been killed. The boy grew up, and at age 17, he was visited by a demon named Condemned... Condemned liked to feed on anger, and the boy had a ton of that... so that boy became the host of the demon. Much later, the boy reunites with his father. They make up. The boy gets married, and has a child. Then, one of the boy's very smart friends decides to change the past so that the boy is no longer tortured by Condemned. The boy thinks this is a great idea. He does not realize how much a simple change can switch around everything is the currant timeline. The boy finds out that he is married to someone else. His greatest enemy is now his friend. Everything is mixed up. All of this, and the boy's friend, who was then the boy's wife, got emotional, because she did not like the change... ... now this boy is feeling very guilty...

Inderretta: *pats her on the back* come on, Twilight...

Mist: iiiii think i got that but.... who's the boy....?

Twilight: *sniffles* i'm sorry..... it's just...... it's hard.......

Eclipse: ... ... ... me...

Inderretta: you don't have to be sorry, Twilight... I understand...

Twilight: *jumps at the sound of the voice, and turns aroud to face him* AAHH!! oh.... don't do that......

Me: grr... time limit's comin' up.....

Mr. Inderretta: I'm sorry... ...what's troubling you?

Eclipse: *knocks on HNHQ's door*

Twilight: hmm? oh nothing.... *stares at the moon* just thinking....

Mist: *opens the door* oh hi dad. :)

Mr. Inderretta: it SEEMS as if something is troubling you... please share what it is...

Eclipse: ...hey... ...

Twilight: *still unnerved by his presence* you..... you'd think i'm crazy. :P

Mist: .....are you okay...? <:(

Mr. Inderretta: I don't know... I certainly deal with a lot of crazy things in MY life... I wouldn't be suprised by yours... you seem nervous...

Eclipse: ... I'm fine... *walks iside*

Me: should she tell him?

Twilight: ..........

Mist: no you're not. you always say that. <:(

Me: sure :D

Inderretta: ...

Eclipse: just... just a little conflict with... eh... your mother...

Twilight: you ever..... messed around with the past...?

Mist: you mean..... you had a fight...?

Inderretta: ehhh... no...? I don't think I have, ever... though, that IS an interesting path of science to go down...

Eclipse: ... n... not really a FIGHT fight... eh... more like guilt flying around and... ... ... no. No, we didn't have a fight.

Mist: guilt about what....? *confused*

Twilight: .....we have. eclipse and i, i mean...... we.... changed the future by messing with the past.....

Inderretta: so you're saying that me as I am now isn't real? All of this isn't real?

Eclipse: ... ...it's hard to explain to someone... someone like you...

Mist: .........?

Twilight: no, it's real but....... just..... completely different for us....

Eclipse: eheh... sorry to get all weird and mystic on you... eh... er... Mist...? ... *to himself* ... right... right, that was her name...

Inderretta: ... ...tell me what has changed.

Twilight: .....you've changed..... shadow's changed....... rouge is alive....... *in a small voice* eclipse and i are married.....

Inderretta: ... so... Rouge was dead...? Anywho, I can't imagine me, or Shadow any different from how we are now... and... *had picked up that last part* and you two weren't married before in the other timeline...?

Eclipse: EHRM... uh... I'll just... go walk around, ok Mist?

Mist: *concerned* .....can i come with you?

Twilight: *shakes her head* .....no...... we weren't......

Eclipse: ... ...sure... <:) ... *walks*

Mr. Inderretta: is that why you seem sad? You were married to someone else...?

Mist: <:) *walks with him*

Twilight: ...... *nods* .....yep.... we both were.

Eclipse: *walking* ... ... am I a good father, Mist? ... Do you love me?

Mr. Inderretta: hmm... that would explain Eclipse's behavior to Rosette... was it her? If so, then who was YOUR spouse?

Mist: well, of course! what kind of question is that? dad, is something wrong? *REALLY concerned*

Twilight: ..........*barely audibly* lightning......

Eclipse: ... ... follow me, and your mother's room. I'm going to tell you a story...

Inderretta: WHAT...???

Twilight: *tears up, and lets out a sob*

Mist: ......? *follows him*

Me: if eclipse is gonna tell mist the truth, she'd prob'ly get it. she's in her teens.... (just not sure WHERE yet)

me: kaaaayyy...

Inderretta: D: Nononono! Don't cry! Don't cry, Twilight! <:C

meanwhile

Eclipse: *arrives at the room, and sits on his bed. He motions for Mist to sit next to him*

Twilight: hmm. *shuffles around awkwardly, and looks up at eclipse* you're right.

Me: when do raptor and jake show up?

Me: I dunno. When do you want them to show up?

Eclipse: Well, if you really don't like this, we can always switch it back...

Me: i asked you first XD

Twilight: i wouldn't torture you like that.......

Eclipse: well... ... ...you don't seem to be very happy with Lightning's little switch... ...

Twilight: *leans back in her seat* i'm not..... i already miss my kids....

Eclipse: I understand... ... of course, switching back means I lose my mother, education, my father's happiness, and gain Condemned, but if you're happier with Lightning then I'll gladly switch... ... I mean... I miss Luminos, but... I'm happy to see Rosette's face again... even if I went ballistic the first time...

Me: CONFLIIIIIIICT! :D

Me: goshdarnit, critic..... i vote we stay here. :D

Twilight: that's just it, eclipse....... i..... i don't know.......

Eclipse: I don't mean to get you into a conflict, or force any guilt-trips at you, Twilly... <:(

Me: 8D

Me: ooh, he called her "twilly"! OOOOOOO-- *shot*

Twilight: no, it's not... it wasn't you..... it's just.... well.... UGH! *facepalm*

Eclipse: DDD:> Aw, come on! Don't be like that!

Twilight: *starts tearing up* i just.... i dont want to stay.... but i dont want to force you to leave either... i just don't know what to do....

Me: now THIS is more like that one-shot i WILL write.....

Eclipse: then... then how about we stay for... for a little bit, then head to the real timeline? I don't want to see you upset Twilight... but I don't want to leave immedietally... I've... I've never seen my mother before, Twilly... NEVER... *sounds like he doesn't want to leave AT ALL, but is forcing himself to give Twilight that compromise*

Twilight: eclipse...... it's not fair.... you didn't get to live life the way i did..... you didn't have a family, you didn't have a life at all..... and now you're free, and i wouldn't DARE take that away from you......

Eclipse: well... I don't want to take Lightning, nor your kids from YOU... ... ... *can't take it anymore, gets up, and starts heading back to HN*

Twilight: *watches him go, then covers her face in her hands* twilly, you idiot...... *stares up at the moon* ..........................

Me: goshdarnit!! you're makin' me all depressed again....

Inderretta: *COMES UP FROM BEHIND TWILIGHT OHSHI - THAT'S FREAKY!!!* You seem upset...

Twilight: i don't get any privacy anymore..... i enjoyed that when they were gone...... no offense to them, but they're pretty NOSY. always butting in...... heh.....

Eclipse: at least you don't hear them begging you to kill someone as you try and fall asleep... XD

Me: *bashes in the face of a stuffed white dog*

Twilight: they butt in at the WORST TIMES though...... *blushes slightly, and snuggles into him*

Eclipse: *smiles at Twilight, and snuggles back* yes, but once again... no "please please please please pleeeaaaase"... <:)

Twilight: naah. it was more like, "hey hey hey, what'cha doin? 8D"

Eclipse: well... I think you should be honored that they're interested in a mobian's lifestyle... XD

Twilight: ugh..... *rolls her eyes* not when it's like THAT.....

Me: oh yeah, i totally forgot. *FACEPALM*

Eclipse: heh... maybe not... but you really could have had worse than two nosey daemons... :P

Eclipse: ... ...GOD! I STILL can't believe that with one slight change, we've hooked up... even after all that proof! It's just... so strange... I mean, I know that we'd get along just fine, and I'm sure that in this timeline we REALLY like each other... but... just... woah...

Me: *OMNOMS A WHITE DOG*

Twilight: yeah, it's pretty crazy. who would've thought? you prob'ly moved here from Greenhill after a while..... and we must've met in school.

Eclipse: ...yup... WOAH-WAIT! I have an education now????

Me: XD

Twilight: i guess so, considering the fact that we went to school together XD wonder what got us to join HN...? was just 'cause we were hybrids? or something else.....?

Eclipse: maybe it's because we both have a strong sense of justice, and thought we could help?

Twilight: ....or that. that works too. XD i'm still a scatterbrain, that's for sure :P

Twilight: no no, that's a good reason. we might never know for sure, though.

Eclipse: we can't exactly ask anyone - they'd think we're crazy...
