Excellent. Slanting the ear back some though would make the picture look more relaxed. Try free-handing more often. Looking at a picture as a guide is fine but copying it directly from another picture doesn't really help your creativity much. Try looking at magazines for proportions/poses. That was you can still make it more cartoonish while keeping/developing your own style.
