So, lately, I've been getting a lot of comments on this: www.fanart-central.net/pic-489461.html so I figured I'd remake it and give y'all something halfway decent to comment on.

I love the way the background came out. ^^

But I may have overdone the sparklies.

Ok, really glad to see this now. Not only is he cute and well colored, but the lines are really clean. ^_^ And yes, the sparkle is a great touch!

You'd be amazed on what people comment on. I still get comments for things I thought I deleted @___@
Now for the pic:
The background is gorgeous! Did you make it yourself? The only thing I could say is not working is the hands. They seem a little too big, but their posing makes up for that. I think the you have a good amount of sparkles btw n_n So overall, it is very well done, even for "halfway decent."

Well, I can't find the tutorial I used way back when to learn to make skies like that, but I'll try to explain what I did. I set my foreground/background to black and dark blue, and did Filter>render>clouds until I liked the result. I went to the dodge/burn tool, with the maple leaf brush, and played around until I was happy. Then, in a new layer, I added assorted sizes of stars by hand with a round brush, duplicated the layer, and blurred the new layer to make them glow.

As for the hands, I meant for them to be that big. I don't draw chibi that often, and any smaller hands just didn't seem to work.

Ahh, tutorials always help. You put very good use to the one you used! The hands were my only problem, but seeing as you meant it to be that way, it's alright :)
