To See with Eyes Unclouded by Hate

Well...! I wanna submit a picture a made last year for my AP World History teacher. This picture is kinda blurry because I had to take a photograph. xD BELIEVE ME, this picture was HUGE.

And don't you make fun of me because I made a picture for my history teacher. It's rare I EVER put this much effort into a picture for a teacher, unless this person is special. And dagnammit, this history teacher is SPECIAL AND AMAZING. I don't know if a lot of people have met good teachers in their lives, and feel the same way I do. AP World History was HARD, because the teacher was hard, and I had to do a lot of soul-searching to pass that class, no matter how smart I was. The principal said that class was hardest in the whole school because of the teacher.

Mr. Novonty is witty. He's outspoken. He's not afraid to tell the students how he feels. He saw us as equals, he's not one of those teachers that blamed their position for not talking to their students. His lectures were interesting. He had photographic memory, so he didn't stutter during his history lectures. He made funny sceneries, and ALWAYS ALWAYS; he was a freakin JERK to the class. He cares about discipline, and he imposes it hard, but he doesn't let it go unfair. And gives students another chance, if he trusts them.

There was a time that he said, "The due date is Monday for the essay. And I mean it. Any late work, I'll just throw it in the trash and give you a straight 0." -And a student couldn't find his essay that day. He said he had it with him, but now it's not there, and Mr. Novonty said, "Are you telling me that truth?"

"Yes sir."

"Fine. Give me the essay tomorrow. And only tomorrow."

He was a good student that usually turns in his work, which is why Mr. Novotny gave him a second chance. And this was something I respected the teacher so much for. Sometimes there's always a barrier(you can feel it) between a student and teacher. It's like a learn and listen to the adult feeling, and it's so hard to see the teacher as a real human being that you can talk to. That was the first class I ever felt equal to the teacher and I could tell him anything(even though I was always teased for being emotional in that class xD), and I passed the class and the AP World history test.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY, "Thank-you MR. Novotny" for all you did for me and the other students. There's a big chance, we'll never ever forget you! ;]]]]]]]
