FAC Christmas Contest (2011)

CONTEST: Who's under that mistletoe?

Deadline: December 31, 2011 (CLOSED)

Theme: Sipping eggnog and eating cookies by the fire is nice and all, but being traditionally obliged to kiss that special (or even hated) person under the mistletoe is something to send a holiday postcard about![/b]

Draw those persons, or even group of people, finding themselves under the mistletoe. It could be romantic, humorous, or just plain awful. These people could be based off your real life or completely made up. Just know that anything concerning a mistletoe is not boring!

Rules:
1. Only 1 submission per user
2. When December 31, 2011 12:00 AM passes, submissions are closed for the contest. I do not take late work, no matter how good you are. :)
3. No explicit sexual themes/violence. No one sane kills someone under the mistletoe, no matter how icky they are!

Scoring Guidelines:
Skill: 40 points

- You can use crafts, digital mediums, traditional mediums(etc.) to express this theme, but you need skill to make it look good! Whatever style you work with, whether anime or realism, make it synchronize with your idea, and your skill will inevitably show.

- Kissing under the mistletoe is an expected reaction, but what makes it really interesting is if they hate, feel awkward, or have an angry cheese crab in their way. Mistletoe situations are a perfect sources of original moments!

- Including the mistletoe, there should be other Christmas elements such as a Christmas tree, presents, ornaments, cookies and milk (etc), something to show that they did not randomly put a mistletoe up in the middle of April!

- Christmas is never black and white. Green, blue, red, and yellow (etc) are only a few colors affiliated with Christmas lights, trees, and presents. The holidays is no time to be narrow-color-minded.

- Her colorful and fun fan art for the new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword gives us a good Christmas/New years feel! Both the birds and the Christmas lights are making sure Link feels the festivities before he goes back to his adventure!
The Christmas entries had higher points than the previous contest. It is like you guys are getting better by the contest! I am proud of every single one of you! See you next contest, if you are courageous enough (it will be Valentines Day-themed). If you are saddened about your score, just know that it is a new year, and you have started it off getting more artistic experience with this contest! (Also, it turns out a lot of you guys, including me, have been mixing mistletoe and holly up. :C
