Um, oh, another quick note I wanted to drop by: the really cool thing about Symphonia and Abyss is that they're multiplayer. For me, this is good. This is luv. :D

It's fine to play 1P for Symphonia I suppose, but in Abyss, actually, the CPUs are somehow idiots, so other human players could really help. o_o;

But, hope you have fun, either way!! ;)

Well considering my memeory is a wonderfully craptastic little item of mine, I don't really remember you. I remember MEETING you, but not really anything ABOUT you. >.> Sorry 'bout that. ^_^;;;

And yes. Read manga. Read loads of manga and become obsessed and join our odd little culture of freaks and geeks. Good times, good times...=D

To be honest though, I'm jealous of your ball-point pen skills. I can't work with those for crap. :C

But, um, yes. Tales.

Well, personally... most of the older Tales games were on handhelds.
Working with PS2, the decision is primarily between Legendia and the Abyss, then.
ABYSS, without a doubt. Just to shout it out, before you start questioning. XD;
Well, Legendia is good. But it's mediocre compared to other tales games, and many reviewers say, it's much worse if you have played Symphonia and Abyss first. XD;
I just got it myself, then. I'm judging it easily, but it's pretty decent. I have heard that Legendia has a lot of animated cutscenes though, and the best soundtrack. (Playing 2 hours in so far, I don't doubt it X3)

But Abyss has really cool CG, awesome battle system, (real time battle <3) pretty decent music, and z'ohmygod character development.
My only nuances with Abyss so far is the loading times (but that's kinda small, really) and the insanely easy dungeons. ...Don't ask me why I don't like insanely easy dungeons, but, well, I just feel kinda bad, sometimes. XD;


Oh, and there's also Symphonia, the other brilliant Tales of Game, but it's only been released for GameCube in the US. (Pity, really, because the PS2 version of Symphonia had a biker outfit for my favorite character XD; )

Um, but, if you have a GC, I would pro'ly suggest you pick up Symphonia first. Dunno, guess either Abyss or Symphonia could go tops. Symphonia has slightly rougher graphics, but otherwise, it's also a top-notch game. I personally preferred the character designs in Symphonia. (Not to be confused with character development in Abyss)
But, yeah, both series are awesome.

And dangit...I DO want a GC, but I think if I had the opportunity I'd buy a DS first, so Symphonia may have to wait awhile. D:

Aah, I'm embarassed, I've only read Saiyuki actually, but as soon as I get money (I hate being a college student!) I'm gonna buy Wild Adapter. And I'll look into the others you said too. ;P
