Copic markers are a special type of marker that are super expensive. ($5.50 a marker in the U.S.) They are used by manga artists alike. They are supa-cool!! XD

Nope. Never read that book. Though I do love literature. It really broadens the mind. In my school however, only express stream students get to study lit after sec 3. Goes to show that only the "elite" are allowed to study such subjects. Wheras the lowly idiots below can rot in peasantville. What a wonderful education system we have, no?

Sorry, just a little peeved about the topic of lit. I loved both stories in sec 1 and 2. And when I discovered that the classics and all literature would ONLY be allowed to express students,...well.

Regarding your other question, being an arts person, and never being really good at mathematics nor physics, I would tend towards arts and humanities. But if you really are interested science, then go for it. If you're confused between the two, just go with the one you feel you'd regret less. "Chasing two mice will lead you to catching none."

Well, can't be that bad... At least he's trying to get all of you fitter and healthier. And yes, you are by default suppossed to report to the teacher, not only in PE, but if required to go to a specific area, such as the lab, the field, etc. It is actually a courtesy that the teacher comes to the class to teach you. Remember that you're no longer in primary school, nobody's gonna spoon-feed you anymore.

Besides, it allows you to get that blood flowing in your body after sitting for so long on the classroom chair. So smile. Always look on the brightttt side of life. *whistles*

It's been a long time, hasn't it.

The computer is finally up and running after three annoying months. Most of the viruses are gone, though a couple still remain. Bastards are as resilient as ever. Whoever creates these things should be tortured and castrated and have his entire family impaled.

Sorry for the outburst, but can't help it. They really are an annoying bunch.

How have you been? Good I hope. How are your studies going along? As for studies, I've just auditioned for Kendo classes, and will be notified within two weeks. I'll also be having a rugby friendly with the japanese club next Sunday. Heard that though they may be old, some maybe even 50, that they in tiptop shape and can even outrun most of us young birds. What's worst is that I've only started learning about rugby a month ago.

With regards to the concert, it was fantastic. The first piece we played was for a fallen brother who had passed away a year before, and we had asked that the audience not applause after that piece. Before the band on stage was a Baritone Saxophone with a white rose seated on a chair. After that we played happy tunes, with the exception of an overture titled Jericho (Not to be confused with the wrestler.), which depicted the battle of Jericho as well as the oncoming victory.
We also had a piece that was originally sung by Babara Streisend, titled "The way we were". Beautiful piece, with a solo by one of our virtuosos, palying on his own while walking up to the stage, as well as ending it with a, I dare say, perfect solo performance.

Anyway, hope that all is well on your side and hope to hear from you again.

It's been a long time hasn't it?
My computer got struck by a virus and just recently got revived, though about 10% of my personal stuff was lost.

And yes, June was a pretty hectic month, and its gonna continue all the way till August or maybe September. It'll all be in preparation for the upcoming NDP.

BTW, my squadron will be providing a couple of excursion ferrying to the ships at Clifford Pier soon, meaning guests will board our crafts and have a joyride out to the sea, where they'll board our LSTs. If you're interested, inform me and I'll see when the things'll start.

On a further note, I'll be performing on August 14 at the Victoria Concert Hall at 5pm, interested?

I can tell you haven't played much Spyro (if any)... when you said that on my Spyro Elements pic his head looked too big. Compared to how Spyro really appears in the game, his head's actually a little too SMALL. And his tail's alittle shorter and less decorated, wings are a bit thinner, and legs a little shorter....

I see when you responded to my wolf pic you noticed the trees. There's a particular quirk in my style of drawing, that no matter how well I can do foreground characters, I just can't seem to do a realistic background worth crap. Thus, when I do a background, it tends to look pretty abstract. But abstract can be cool in its own way.

Ah, more stuff to respond to. Yeah, I know what hippogryphs are. But I was going for the 'bird' like appearance with the Air elemental dragon of mine, so that's understandable. (Not the first time someone's objected to me calling it a 'dragon')

As for the Earth dragon, what are Earth crystals? Regular crystals/gemstones. (Amethyst in the Earth Dragon's case). I called them 'earth' crystals to distinguish between the ice crystals of the other dragon.

As for the element of Thunder, you read the second paragraph of the picture's description, right? He's actually the lightning element, it's just called 'Thunder' for short. (A misnomer, I know)

And yeah, you're not the first to say how the background on my latest picture is kinda hard to read. There's a lot of detail & stuff going on at once, so that's understandable. (For the record, the cracked-glass effect -- left side, just underneath the black lines -- I think that's the best effect I've ever made)

Ah, more comments to respond to. When I drew the elmental dragons, Fire and Ice were instantly my favorites, Fire because it came out so dang well for being the first in the series, and Ice because I was able to match the same level of effect and detail. It was pretty tough to match that level for the rest of them, and in some cases you can probably tell.

But anyway. About that earth-element dragon, have you seen his revised version? Yeah, the crystals were a little too cold, so I took some time in Photoshop to 'warm up' the colors a bit. It's amazing how much a single tweak can change the overall appearance of a dragon....

And about the Darkness dragon, you're kinda close (I had Queen_Asheer5600 fooled too). It's all deceptive camo; boil the dragon down to his core shape, and he only has one head and one pair of eyes. The two extra 'heads' aren't heads at all, they just LOOK like heads. Their 'eyes' don't have pupils because they're not really eyes, and their 'mouths' don't have teeth because they're actually claws, pincers. That's also why the wings are attached to the side 'heads', because they're not really heads, they're just decorations on his wings. It's all a ruse to make his enemies think that he's more powerful than he really is. And judging from the responses, I'd say that it works prety well (hehe).

Let's see, RanKo... I think I've viewed their gallery already. RanKo does have an interesting style, but it doesn't impress me too much. Call it whatever you want, but I'm picky when it comes to anything I like. Dragons included; I like them enough that I'll draw or imagine them often, but not enough that I'll like everything that's related to one. I'm the same with the sci-fi and fantasy genres overall, too.

Anyway, about the Twilight dragon. Yeah, blue would have been a better 'night' color, eh? Unfortunately, I already used that for my Darkness dragon, so in doing the Twilight dragon, I felt I had to choose a different color to imply 'night' with.

Oh, and about the "Stealth Dragon" picture. His nickname is 'Spirit', which is a reference to the aircraft shape I based him on -- the army's flying wing bomber, the B-2 "Spirit". Just type in 'B2 Bomber' into Google's Image Search...

With regards to the parrot Inuyasha I drew, here's a secret: I don't watch Inu-Yasha either! The idea and inspiration for it were simply too good to pass up, so I spent about fifteen minutes on FAC hunting up decent pictures of Inuyasha to use as reference material. Hehe.

Thanks for the reply. I've yet to read the article, but it's good that he died with a peaceful face. Not many get to die that way. I know of a few seniors from my school who, though I've never met them, had passed away during their service. There was once a case of a tank that had dropped 50 feet off a cliff in Taiwan during an exercise. Needless to say, all the crew died.
I wouldn't consider myself brave. Most people just do what they have to, like it or not. Everyone is afraid to die, but if a man were to die with honour and without regret, it would be a death worthy of his ancestors.
Anyway, enough with all this talk about dying. Whats important is the moment.
You seem rather upset about the surprise test. If it's any consolation, I've failed Chinese for most of my life. Besides, what's important is that you tried your best. A philosopher once said that "even the bravest are frightened by sudden terrors." So there's nothing to be ashamed about failing just one surprise test. The best you can do is to take it in your stride and hope to do better the next time.
Thank god I'm not from your school, I think I'll kill myself if I were to be surrounded in an all Chinese-speaking school. Like I said, my Chinese sucks.
With regards to wisdom teeth, don't worry. It'll come sooner or later. Have fun. ;)

Hi Angel.
Yes, I do speak Singlish quite often. Depending on the occasion and for formalities sake, I will speak with the best diction possible. Of course when in writing, I try my best to be as grammatically correct as possible.
However, due to the nature of my work, as well as my school upbringings, I do tend to spout vulgarities, especially when I'm tired or not in the mood for nonsense.
Regarding the NS man; No, I've yet to read on any of it. Why? Did the poor sod die?
I don't know about you, but if I had to give up my life for my country in battle, I gladly would. A soldier's duty is to die, and if doing so means that the name of my family would be honoured, then so be it. A spartan mother once said to her child, "Come back with this shield or upon it." It means that
if a soldier were to die, he should die with honour.
Anyway, I just extracted all four of my wisdom teeth, and it bloody hurts right now. Got a weeks mc as well.^^ (Make no mistake, I'm a lazy bum, but if I've got a duty to do, I'll do it.)
I saw RanKo's works, she's got a very good grasp of colours, giving her works a sort of shine and 3D effect.
But check out "Beastofoblivion", now she rocks!
Oh, I read that you're half-chinese and half-Indian, making you look Malay.(Saw it on
"Yumiko-san's") So my guess would be that your father is Indian and your mom Chinese right? (Since males do have the somewhat more domineering genes.)

No worries about the background thing, it take a TON of practice to get anywhere with it (9 years and counting here). Don't ever give up on the writting either. That can really take you places (believe me, I know).
