All right, people. It has officially been 2 years since I have joined FAC; 2 years since I have uploaded my pictures for the world to see; 2 years since I have made all of my great friends that have become my art family. And after these 2 years, and after I have uploaded 450 images, I am deciding to leave FAC. I guess that I'm just tired of this place and I'm tired of the way it works. Lately, FAC's been lagging, and I feel that the redesign of FAC has made it seem more like deviantArt. Another thing is that a lot of my friends have either left or have accounts here as well as on devArt. So everyone, I am leaving FAC and officially moving to deviantArt, where all my upcoming work will be displayed. If you wish to continue watching my art, then look for me at devArt; my username there is KitsuneKimono, and here's the link to my gallery: http://www.kitsunekimono.deviantart.com . Although I am moving, I will not be deleting my gallery. It will remain here at FAC until the website becomes nonexistent or until FAC decides to delete my gallery themselves.

Chapter 5 is finally up! Please read it if you get the chance- I would love to hear your input. Just to warn you, it's LONG, so your eyes will be looking at the computer screen for a while. Also, I apologize for the story format. I'm trying to find a format that looks good and is easier to read :)

Faded backgrounds! ^^- I forgot how to do them for a while, lol, but now I remember, so here we go.1. You can start either after you've finished cleaning your linework, or after you've colored everything in the foreground, it doesn't matter.
But when you're ready to add a background, go to the layers palette (where you change opacity) and right-click the layer; it should say "Background." Choose "Promote Background" from the right-click menu.
2. When this is done, choose the fourth tool in the toolbar and change it to "magic wand" if that's not already what it is. The match mode should be RGB value or whatever, but it probably already is since you do gradient eyes that way. ^~ Click in all the white areas that are going to be filled up by your background, then press delete. The white should take on a checkered effect that means transparant.
3. Create a new layer, and drag the second layer under your first layer. (So the second layer becomes the first layer)
4. On your new first layer, do your background. Over on the layer palette, slide the opacity down on the first layer to make it faded. The little checkered things might show through when you do this; they'll disappear, don't worry. :)
5. When you're ready, right-click either layer, and do a 'merge all flatten'. The picture will now merge the foreground and faded background, and everything's set to go. :)
