I was starting to think that, a Google search for the phrase "lunar dragon" turned up gazillions of results for the Lunar RPG series (especially Lunar: Dragon Song).

I have wondered about the lunar dragons for quite some time, in fact ever since I first saw that section in the category list. Organization concerns me as I'm on the category team, and these "Lunar" dragons I never really considered as belonging in the Fantasy>Dragons section since most of them are in the "flying kitty" form, with no real resemblance to either Western or Eastern dragons.

But they are quite popular in numbers and should probably get their own section anyway.

Technically, since they're based on the Lunar RPG series, they qualify as fanart and thus the 'proper' placement for their section would be something like "Games > Lunar RPG Series > Original Characters > Lunar Dragons" --

But that's quite a mouthful, yes? It's a shame we don't have category redirects available yet, then the category could appear in both places and be easier to find.

So for now, *shrugs*, I guess it'll just have to be a subset of the Dragons category. Just so long as it's clear that it's for Lunar RPG type dragons.

I have a question, and since you seem to draw a lot of them maybe you can help. What exactly IS a "lunar dragon"? I see a lot of them by you and other artists, so you'd think that it would be easy to hunt up a definition -- but it's not. We don't have much in the way of a category for "lunar dragons", and I have been resorting them into the Furries heading for some time because they bear so little resemblance to traditional (i.e. Western or Oriental style) dragons, and I have no real definition of what they actually are.
