Iradaries

(So, shall we skip ahead to the next day or did you have a plan?)

Taking the blanket with a small smile Lina moved a bit away from the fire and curled up under the blanket using her arms for a pillow. "Good night Kenu." she said closing her eyes.

Lina blinked a few times then nodded. “Ok… I’d be willing to learn.” She said. “Uhm… Thank you for listening.” She added.

(-Insert evil smile here-)
“Um… there were a few people who would help me out sometimes… when things were really bad.” She wiggled slightly. “and um… there were a few times where the shopkeepers turned a blind eye on me nicking some food. She pulled her legs close and glanced away. “I always made sure to pay for stolen food though when I was able to get the money.”

(Hm, yes. That is quite true)
Lina’s shoulders dropped slightly and she let out a small breath of air relieved. She nodded stiffly. “Its um… gotten a little better but I don’t do it much so um…” she trailed off, and nodded again. “my dad left some money behind so I was able to live off that… no one in the village ever really trusted me to do any jobs for them so it got a bit hard at times… but…” She bit the corner of her lip. He doesn’t want my life story, I should stop.

Lina shrank down slightly more as Kenu asked a torrent of questions. “Well um… Yes I’ve always been able to do it, and it’s probably the reason.” She shook her head, “no one has ever come before but… people usually don’t associate with me… I-I um… a kid got hurt in the village one day and um… I helped him then the people started calling me a demon… again…”  
She stared at a fire a few moments before going on weakly, “my uh… mom left when I was little and my dad died when he was ten…” she trailed off, shrinking down slightly more.

She scrunched up slightly and her bangs fell back over her eyes. After a little bit of nervous wiggling she finally answered. “It’s a um… my dad said that it was a rare gift… and um…” she trailed off looking down towards the fire. She held the locket with her right hand and looked back up. “I can also heal um… small wounds.” She added uncertainly.

Another shiver went through her body as a crack formed from the bottom of the orb traveling up. A blue liquid and mist leaked out with a hiss. The liquid streamed out, turning into ice the moment it touched her hand. The ice shook each time she exhaled, and the sphere broke apart the pieces falling to the ground. The ice in her hand slowly took the shape of a sphere.
She nervously looked up at Kenu to see his reaction. Don’t be mad, don’t be mad, don’t be mad. She thought like a mantra.

Lina swallowed and stared at the fire for a few seconds. Her hand brushed over the locket before she looked back up at Kenu. “Remember when you asked me if I could do anything useful and I said I would show you later?”  She shifted her weight. “I don’t practice a lot so I’m not really good but…” She shifted again.
“Just watch… It’s easier to show than explain.” She said, turning towards him. She brushed her bangs away from eyes and she placed her right hand over her chest. She took a deep breath in, and let it out,  she held her left hand out between her and Kenu. Her eyes lost focus, and the air around them grew colder with each breath. She shivered, a small pale blue sphere took shape over her left hand.

(Someone who looks that guilty can’t possibly be guilty!)(How about meet him when Kenu is hunting for food tomorrow?)
As the fire started up some of the larger sticks Lina sat back and nodded. “Ok, thanks.” She said taking the biscuit and dried meat. She started on the biscuit first, it was dense and dry. She watched Kenu out of the corner of her eye while she ate. I said I would show him didn’t I? She wiggled uncomfortably. Wonder if he’ll call me a demon too?
