"Never safe being a runner." Rust said, "especially with Xia and the empire struggling to stay on top. Runners are always bound to know something."
Lina shifted uncomfortably, she looked up. "I've cut off your part, I'll get the rest ready to be dried." She said.

(Fun fact: Lina secretly likes calling Kenu brother :o)
Lina stared at Kenu's back for a few seconds, she blinked and looked back down at the hare. Wow... She thought. Rust let out a low whistle.
"You've been through a few scuffs." he said, "one of the gods must be smiling on you."

"Ok." Lina said. Carefully she pulled their hare away from the fire. She used her knife to cut off pieces, and ate as she went. "Ah, this is much better than supper brother!" she said.

"I'd be easier to cut if you moved your bangs out of your eyes." Rust said pulling his rabbit away as well. He cut the pieces into fine strips and stored them away.
"I'm fine." Lina said flatly.
"Alright, if you say so." Rust said.

"Better to get a few dirty looks from Xian guards than have your throat slit and sister drug off by bandits." Rust said with a light shrug. "and as long as your respectful they won't give you too much trouble... Might search your things at the worse."
Lina leaned in and whispered "as long as they are only searching our things I can keep my eyes hidden."

"Just too many nobles." Rust sighed. "Becareful, heard some ruffians moved into the area. I can point you towards a road that Xia is keeping safe for trade if you would like."
Lina looked up at Kenu "what do you think brother?"

"No it shouldn't. He wouldn't have the reach to send anyone this close to Xian territories." Rust said with a sigh.
"Why did you fight?" Lina asked.
"He cheated me out of a fair sum of gold." Rust shrugged.

"He's a Lord from Cos, we uh... Had a bit of a disagreement." Rust said.
"what sort of disagreement?" Lina asked. 
"The violent kind."

"Ah, have you ever happened to run an mission for a Lord Virson?" Rust asked leaning in slightly.

 

"So a message runner then, must be a pretty good one too with a horse like that." Rust said motioning towards Senow. 
"My brother is one of the best." Lina said sweetly.

"Your right, This was my first time out of the imperial territories. And I like my hair." she said. Rust chuckled.
"Ha, alright. What about you?" Rust looked towards Kenu, "you seem like you've traveled a bit more, but I've been wrong before."
