(Lutrivl is a southern free kingdom kingdom)
"I know why Rust is passing through, why are you two heading north?" the soldier asked. 
"We were visiting some relatives down south." Lina said.
"In Lutivl?" the soldier asked.
"Yes sir." Lina said. The soldier nodded.
"Alright. I'll need to be sure you arn't dragging any contraband up with you." the soldier said, walking over. 

Lina took the canteen from Kenu, she smiled an nodded. "Thank you brother." She said, unscrewing the cap and taking a drink.

(Alright)

A young man in leather armor dyed the silver and green greeted the party as they drew near. "Hey Rust! Is that you? Haven't seen you in a while." the soldier called. 
"Afternoon Dez, had a backlog of furs I needed to sell. That and I met a couple of kids heading north." Rust said, patting the soldier on the shoulder. 
"Ah, I was wondering who the others were. Welcome, sir, ma'am."
"Hello." Lina said back bowing her head.

Lina turned back. "Some water would be nice." She said with a smile. 

(I would give us a nice change of pace from just walking)

Lina blinked and looked down at the knives. Is he expecting trouble? She tilted her head back and forth for a few moments then shrugged. I really should learn how to fight. Huh. Maybe I can practice my gift tonight if Rust isn't with us... I can ask Kenu to teach me some knifework if Rust isn't gone... Huh... Am I getting into this?

"Better soldiers than bandits." Rust said with a shrug. Lina tilted her head slightly to the side and watched Kenu as he rummaged through his pack. 

Rust lead the trio through the woods, he stopped at a break in the tree line and grinned. "Welcome to the road." he said, motioning towards a road paved with stone. 
"Huh. Thought it would be busier." Lina said looking around as she walked towards the road. 
"Naw, too far from a major population center. But a Xian military outpost should be nearby." Rust said. 

Rust grinned, he turned and started to walk. "Come on, lets get going." He said.

Lina looked up at Kenu and rolled her eyes. With a small sigh she started after Rust.

"Yes you do." Lina hiffed, she blinked and looked up. "You scrached you cheek." She said.
"Ha, kiss it and make it all better." Rust joked. 
"Huh? Thats not somthing siblings do." Lina said, looking over at him. 

"Because you pester me brother." She blinked and looked up at him, "Uhm? Are you ok?"
"Hm? Did you get scrached?" Rust asked, stepping over. 

"Yeah, a little tired but I'm fine." Lina said with a nod. "I'm still mad at you though, brother." she said with a sly smile. She carefully started going between the bushes.
