Iradaries

Ariana nodded slightly. "Yeah it does." she said quietly, plucking at her skirt. The old man glanced around to be sure no one was listening. 


Shal raised an eyebrow and looked at Ash. Giggling? "So, how about you?"

(Decide on how Ash will be druink?)

"Ariana..." The old man said softly. Ariana bit the corner of her lip.
"They were hurting Akade..." Ariana said softly. "And I couldn't..." She shook her head and scuffed her heel on the ground. 

"Everyones waitin' for the blood to start flyin'. Ya' ask me the Imps and Xia will make up, war ain't in their intrests." Shal said, picking up the glass and taking another drink. "Xia hasn't been the same since Perfection years back, and the imps are jugglin' too many things."

The old man raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean another incident?" He asked quietly.
Ariana stared at her tea before looking up. "The vines." she mumbled before she looked back down. 

"Xia and the Empire starin' each other down, all outlyin' kingdoms scared for the big bad empires to come knockin'. Yeah no-ones doin' well but the mercs." Shal shrugged. 

 

Ariana gengerly reached out and picked up the cup, she closed her eyes and took a sip. The old man watched the two of them for a few moments, "did any of them... hurt her?" he asked quietly.

"Somethin' like that." Shal said taking a heavy drink. He tapped the glass down on the counter exhaled. "Those were good times." He said. 

(One of those 'my job is done here' jokes)

Ariana smiled weakly before looking back down to the floor, she plucked at her skirt absently. The old man walked back to the table and placed down to cups of tea and a black kettle. 
"Here, this should help." He said placing his tray to the side and sitting down at the table. 

Shall shrugged. "Man was filth and got what he diserved. I'm just happy the company was in t'area."

(Yeah, you don't have to do accents if you don't want to)
(I have done my job -bows and leaves the room-)

(Fair enough)

Ariana looked up at him slightly then motioned him towards the seat next to her.
(Same's happened to Shal more or less)(Yeah, she got her shirt cut when -unnamed bastard number 3 or 4- was forcing himself on her)

"Suck a sword in my father when after he beat my mum and tried to force my sist' to do certain t'ings." Shal said swirling his ale around. He pushed his lips together and his nose crinkled. 

(Meh, it makes me giggle.)(Giggle is such a strange word to use as a man <.<)

(Eeh, I find poetry fairly easy... Not that its ever good poetry :D)(Hurray having no work the next day!)
(Like a time bomb it is)

"I see." The old man said, he gently placed his hands on Airana's shoulders. "I'll go get you two something to drink." he said quietly.
"Aright." Ariana said softly.
(He did his best D:)(...My brains like "Hey dude, random fact, her shirt got cut- cya!"... Why can't it do that during tests?)

"Rot away in a cell somewhere." Shal said, picking up the ale the bartender brought him. 

(Oh my!)

(I'm alright, trying to think of what to do for two poems for a class, how about you?)(Akade took the whole 'vines everywhere' thing rather well.)

"A bit of trouble? Ariana dear, are you ok?"
Ariana leaned forward slightly, pulling her arms around her chest.She stared at the ground quietly and shook her head.

Shall shrugged. "Not much of a story, I grew up in a small town was good with a blade and not much else. It was either be a merc or well." He shrugged again. (Hm... I feel like adding on a story about how he killed his father who was rather voilent <.<)

(Hm... What kind would be fun...)

(Oh dear!)

The old man glanced over as the two of them entered. "Welc-" he stood up quickly. "What the hell happened? Ariana is she ok?" he asked hurriedly. 

"What fun is that? Ya' don't become a hired sword for t'ease of the lifestyle." Shal said finishing off his ale. "'ey! Barkeep bring me another!" he called. 

(D: I'll miss you, good luck at work)

Ariana wrapped her arms around Akade's neck and rested her forehead against his shoulder. "Thank you." she said quietly.

"Lot'ov sitting around waitin' for the other side to make a move." Shal said with a shrug. "Much more fun bein' on campain than holdin' a checkpoint."
