"Aye, stopped workin' for the empire afta' that. Always wan' to meet t'person who stabbed me." Shal said, taking a step towards Ash. Is she sayin' she was...?

Lina blinked when Akade called them bad liars, then turned and looked at Kenu when he asked about the names. Who?

*nuzzle cuddles*

(Strange thing, I don't think Shal would care if he knew it was Ash :o)(W00t!)

"Yeah it was... Wait I dun think I gave a sex fer the person who stabbed me." Shal said, turning towards Ash. Karl arched an eyebrow and stepped around Shal.

"Yeah, we are." Lina said with a small smile. 

(That works for me! :D)

"Naw, never saw who they were. Small 'ittle bugger is all I know." Shal said with a shrug. 

"Yes, it really is!" Lina said brightly, taking another large bite.

(Hm... This would be back when she was still an Imperial, right? Should they have been on the same side or we going with the 'she stabbed him' option?)(Gluttonous Copse would be woods close to the Whispering Hallows.)

"The Battle of the Gluttonous Copse." Shal said, looking over at her.  


Lina nodded and took a large bite of her food. "Ooh! Its great!" she said happly. 
 

(..They could have been at the same battle! Ash could have been the one that stabbed him! They have similar backstories! And other random theories. :P)(Sounds like fun :3)
"Hells, anyone else get out?" Karl asked.
"'erd the capt'n got out, but he was 'ong gone before I was good enough too do any movin'." Shal said. "'course that could'va been a roumor and the capt'n is long dead."
"So your a bodyguard now?"
"Somthin' like that." Shal shrugged. "ain't got t'smarts or t'skills to do much else."

"Thank you!" Lina said taking the plate. She took a seat on the edge of the bed she rested the plate on her legs. "It looks good!"

"What do you mean a contract went south" Karl asked, astonished. 
"Us and some other merc' bands got used a fodder so the main army could retreat. My guess is war was goin' bad an' our employer's didn't feel like payin' up." Shal said with a shrug. "I got out alive because some greenhorn didn't push the knife in deep enough."

Lina smiled sheeplishly "Um, this is Akade, he helped to move you here after you um... Passed out." She said. 
(I'm doing good, have to finish a 1-3 page story for my fiction class. You?)(Ha, that works!)

Karl raised an eyebrow slightly and Shal shrugged. "Alright." Karl said, "how's the rest of the company?"
"Dead." Shal said, darkly.
"What happened?"
"Contract went south." Shal said.

Lina blinked a few times, and her brow scrunched. "I don't remember you telling me to run." she said. "and what? Unhappy to be alive?"

"It's been a bit 'ov a ride." Shal said.
"Alright, follow me." Karl said. "We can catch up later."
