Artist Statement:
Hello there,
If you have stumbled across this art profile, it means that you have embarked into the crazy mind of Avali (Jai Wo)!!! I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I once learned from a good friend that you should never start a sketch book or online gallery without an Artist Statement- something profound and distinct that you want viewers to know about your artwork. So in respect to you, me, and this online gallery, I will do just that!
When it comes to personality, I like to stay positive, up beat,sunshine-happy, and inspiring which is often portrayed in my artwork. Color is the pinnacle of most of my works, but my style mainly evolves around whimsical designs that are also a fettish of mine. Through my artwork (or messy random sketches), I try to explore different nationalities and cultures with a brightness and excitement of learning. And I like to give a feeling through my style that hopefully encourages my viewers to stop and think about the world around them a little bit differently.
Even though most of my stuff is sketchy and random gibberish, I truly hope that you draw a sense of inspiration or postiveness from my gallery, and feel happy and beautiful for yourself. It may sound cheesy, but if my artwork can brighten someone else's day, that gives me all the more reason to continue what I'm doing.
I don't know if I've given this artist statement justice, but I hope you enjoy my gallery!
Side Note:
Feel free to drop a message or comment, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Requests are currently on hold right now for the lack of free time I have, but if you are interested in having me do a request, go ahead and send a message and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks to everyone who has ever commented or watched me grow as an artist!
Side Side Note:
Okay, so I know I just got around to updating and everything. I even revamped my profile page. But unfortunately, I wont be here as an active FAC member any longer. I plan on having this profile up for a while, and I may upload things from time to time, but I recently updated myself to a DeviantART gallery. I really wanted to start fresh with a new gallery so that I can continue to grow and develop my work, but its difficult to do that when there's two galleries, a website, and photobucket gallery to keep up with. So to condense my internet niche, I'm announcing that I am leaving FAC.
I want to thank all of the friends and views who took time to view my work and give their consent. Without you, I wouldn't have gotten this far. If you would like to see more of my new work, simply go to my website. (I'll be posting there quite a lot.) And I'll be putting a link to my DA page here soon.
Again. Thank you so much FAC. I wouldn't have strived to come this far if I hadn't started this profile three years ago. Thank you everybody!

Not much has happened in the coffee shop sice the drunk man, just your everyday caffeinated customer asking for things that aren't on the menue. >.>
Well, I hope you get some drawings done, I love seeing your art. Always so beautiful and original. Right now my art is sadly going nowhere .... I still can't draw males, darn the straight lines ( got used to curves )...right now my guys look like pieces of cardboard....wet, bent sort of cardboard xD
Well, have to go study for french and GQC...again...at 12:00 at night...again...

Yep, I work at a coffee shop, I get free coffee, donuts, cookies and whatever else there is X) The job is great, there are some great people working there and the manager's hilarious but it's also very tiring. I think the best time to work on my art is at school now >.> Still, I'll try and get something done on my days off ^^
It was only my second day today, and already something wierd happened. As soon as the manager and his wife went out ( leaving us in charge ) this man walks in, comes up to the cash on not so steady feet and tells us: 'My body's decomposing, I'm drunk. I need an ambulance' Allan, the guy filling in for the manager, reassured the man that everything would be allright and we handed him a glass of water to calm him down while Allan diled 911. Now, the people said that they would send an ambulance, but thought that maybe the guy was just more of a threat, so in a matter of minutes, were sitting at a table with a delusional drunk man watching police cars heading our way. The police led the man to the cars and that's the last I saw of him. After that Allan was panicking, because if the police let him go ( which they might have done ) and he came back, he would be pissed off at us because we called the police instead of the ambulance, which we didn't. Now, the manager calls in to check if everything is in order. Allan's hyperventilating, we had customers to serve.. While Alllan explained everything to the manager, we were interrogated by some police officers. It was a very long day >.>

Wow, that is a long time to be stuck...and I know what you mean. Whenever we have company, weather with pets or not our cats always act so jealous. I guess they feel left out, so they try to sneak past and get everyone's attention. Ah...good times..
Well, you'll never guess what happened to me these holidays. First of all, I now wear glasses. Not all the time, since I only need them to see tings far away, but it's still a huge change for me. Still, it doesn't really bother me, I kind of like them, they'r pretty, this light turquase color ^^ Furthermore, yes there's more, I now have a part time job ! I have to juggle this and school now. I just hope I'll have time to work on my art with all of this going on...

Wow, I've been browsing you favorites for a while now, and I'm more intimidated that before xD they'r all so amazing. Now, I have a question, on your little journal entry you specified that you were reading new moon, are you referring to the vampire book with bella swan ? If so then wow, I love those books, can't wait for breaking dawn. I must have it, darn the long wait >.>"
Karou: ah, I see, it a surprising surprise, the kind of surprise that surprisingly surprises you when youre in surprising need of being surprisingly surprised

You have a deviant account ? That's awesome, did you keep you usernae the same ? I want to get a deviant account too, but first I'll expand my skills here on FAC because everyone on there is so darn skilled >.>
Yep, my imaginary kimono looked exactly like that ! The colors, shape, even the bamboo pattern ...the only thing that was different was that im my head it didn't have any cherry blossoms, that past was just dark green. I gasped out loud when I saw the picture. I keep going back there and staring at it.
Karou: surprise?
