Ah yeah, I know those kinds. Holy than thou because I can claim that I am open to all things just by liking yaoi. Blech. I really dislike those kinds of people. Yeah, I wasn't totally offended...I mean, I've been far worse offended. ^_~ Part of being in any fandom though, you have to get used to other people not having the same opinion. And yeah, civil conversation in the world of the internet is pretty rare. Heh.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with artistic freedom. I'd never make a comment about another person's choice in what they draw. I just don't like the idea of making such a big deal about it. Your description of that anti-ZADR piece of art was just very aggressive and condescending. As for what we do with the characters, I have written original fiction before. And if someone out there were to take my characters and do what they want with them, I'd feel honored, no matter what they did. Because it means that my creations meant enough to them to put thought into how to expand on the cannon. Anyway, I like these polite conversations we're having. ^_^ Its nice to find someone on FAC that can carry a civilized discussion and not resort to flaming. Later!
