Where what would be?

Well, y'know we've got all these hard classes, but everyone's competing to make the top ten percent, and that's based on GPA, so if there were no extra points for harder classes everyone would take the easy ones so they'd get better grades, so they give us an extra 10 points to make it worth it.

Jerusalem? Yeah, that'd be kinda cool, but wouldn't you like get bombed or something? I wouldn't risk going anywhere near the middle east right now.

It's not a class, it's a UIL competition and I already chickened out. She should find out if she made it or not yet soon though.

Actually essays will probably do a lot of good. Being able to express ideas & sound smart at the same time is really important. Even if it isn't fun to practice. And at the very least it's more real life helpful to most people than an actual writing class like you're talking about. And we have that; it's called Creative Writing, and I'm either taking it or Debate my senior year.

How good of a school is New York University? I just got something in the mail saying they want me to sign up for some magazine they make or something cuz they want to prepare me for college *shrugs* They sound pretty cool, I just wish I knew exactly how good they are. There should be a list somewhere of all the colleges in order of prestige or something.

One of my teachers asked me to draw something for them. I asked what exactly? and they said just Anything...............that was in 7th grade, i'm now in 12th and still got nothing..

Do you get 10 pts added in for advanced classes at your school? We do here, so to make the top ten percent I heard your gpa has to be like 103 (not sure what that would be on the 4 pt scale)

Yeah, that is good. Seriously though, you should find out your class rank for sure. I'm gonna try to find out what mine is soon. I think I'll ask a counsilor tomorrow, cuz I've also got a ton of scheduling questions to get out of the way too.

It would be really cool to go to a third world country, but given the choice, I think I'd still rather go to Spain or something instead. It'd just be really cool to go anywhere but here really though. Especially one where you'd have to use the language you're learning.

lol If you still do well enough generally to lament a B you're doing better than a lot of people I know! Actually I'm super gonna make top ten, and I'm happy to have an 87 in World History (But that's different. Any other class & I'd freak out. That one I have to give myself some leeway or I'll explode) You should ask your councelor what your class rank is.

We have spots like that sometimes I think, but prolly not by the end of lunch. Today, me and two of my friends actually went and ate in the chemistry class of these 3 other people we know because are usual table was so crowded. It used to be bad, but it's been intolerable ever since 4 more people joined at the semester change. You just can't fit 20 people around one of those tables! They're only built to serve like 6 or 8 or something.

lol NO cafeteria can cook.

Grr. I was gonna try out for Ready Writing UIL, but turns out it's writing essays. I might still try cuz I'd want to if I'm good at it, but mostly it just sounds boring and mentally straining.

XD I'm good. But I doubt I'm prettier then you. x-x I've gotten a lot uglier since the school year started. lmao

In Texas if you're in the top ten percent of your graduating class according to your gpa, you are automatically accepted by law into any state university.

Wow, 6 hours per class? That's kinda awesome :D Oh, and I guess that makes sense, too. 4 core classes per grade and all that. Maybe I really will start out as a junior wherever I go. Oh, except that I'll only have 1 science credit =[ Hmm, if I doubled up on science one a these years I've got left in highschool that might work, but I don't wanna gibe anything up that I'm already planning on now =(

That's weird. It seems like if y'all could be college sophomores with just 5 we'd be able to leave as college juniors. I mean, I plan on having taken 15 AP tests by the end of senior year. Hm, maybe we can be juniors, they just don't say that cuz generally speaking it'd be unrealistic for them to expect us to make it that far.

yah, we have about that many kids per grade. And it's way overcrowded too. I know kids who hate that about our school, but I actually think it's fun to go somewhere with so many people. It is a pain at lunch though, cuz the lines are so long and the chairs are so scarce. We even have 8 little trailer-buildings that we call the portables behind our school just to have enough class rooms.

Actually I don't even know who John Stewart is, but that sucks. That must be really depressing, but good for you and your heart a gold!

That's horrible! XP If they don't even have the schedules yet what do you do until they have em? That is unorganized. My school has about 3500 students but they manage.

I didn't used to sing along, but then idk, I started listening to music more so I knew it better so I wanted to I think.
