I lurve to write and I lurve to comment on writing; if there is a particular work you want me to look at, don't be afraid to let me know and I would love to comment on it. Though I'm not a poet and, therefore, do not write poetry, I have knowledge of the basis of poetry and what has worked for great poets. In prose, I tend to mark on grammar, organization, and style. In return, I'm hoping about 20% of the ppl I check for will read at least part of and comment on my Sanctuary Dark . . . after I'm done doing MASSIVE edits XDDD!

Don't you agree that this is a great quote? ^^

"Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did!

And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high, and a happy heart.

I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds.

Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile.

I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.

Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down.

I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.

I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens.

I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life.

And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!"

KupoYeah it's pretty cool ^^ Lotsa class choices is the best thing about going to a big school, methinks. Last year there was a guy in my Spanish 1 class who had taken Japanese 1 at his old school in Washington, but they didn't have it here so he had to switch. Sux for him, huh? Wouldn't knowing Japanese just be the coolest?

ASL = American Sign Language. It's what all the people who can't spell take XD Nah, it does look kinda cool, just it doesn't seem quite as serious if you ask me ^^

Mm yeah that stinks for her. Blah, social life is overrated. It's great, yah, but not like the center of the universe like all those airheaded morons make it out to be when they talk about "social suicide" and other crap terms like that. Just cuz they've got nothing else of quality in their lives doesn't mean that a nervous dependency on others' opinions should mean the world to the rest of us. ...Wow, sorry for going all ranty on you ^^' I guess it just shows what an otaku phase I'm in right now to lash out on preps. Anyway, yeah, from everything I can tell you're really balanced ^^ You do what works for you, and that's exactly what everyone should try for :D

Wow! Lotsa extra cred in your classes! Cool beans!

lol maybe not. It's probably coming out 2009 either way though. Cuz y'know they always say it's gonna come out whenever but they get delayed over and over D:< Yarg. But, then again, one of the only things I've ever really actively anticipated was Advent Children, and that was a special case of them extending the project itself ridiculously as it went on (it was originally meant to be 5 minutes long) so that was really not a good example but I always think of it, so maybe 358/2 Days won't be too bad. idk.

Ooh that's cool! Were your essays like really awesomely creative then? sounds like it.

AAAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!! That's so cute! I totally love kitties! Puppies, especially beagle puppies, are amazing, but deep down I'm a total cat person :3 Aw little kitty ears

Thanks, I'll try ^^ Ooh coolz, that sounds really convenient! Ugh, that's annoying.

lol doesn't matter. These are always really long ^^' I wonder what other ppl think who visit our profiles, since they're always covered in these crazy long messages XD

KupoWell yeah, it has everything to do with being next to Mexico, and yah, we have a ton of people to take it. Even though a ton of people take German, French, Latin, or ASL instead. But those are just the silly noncomformists. I'm taking French 1 next year though ^^

Oh yeah, I so know what you mean. Doesn't that just make you feel kind of weird, especially when you know one of those kids who actually does try hard and cares and studies, but still struggles for their B when you've got an easy 95? I feel so bad for those kids.

Just a point or two, or do you mean a point or two on your actual average? here extra credit is normally to raise a daily grade to a seventy or add 5 to 10 points to a test grade (depending on the assignment, obviously).

Oh my gosh that sux!!! I would die! At least you had CoM though. And I kno!! Isn't that last Riku battle just crap? Man it takes forever and it's so frickin hard. Like forever ago my brother said he would do something for me (I want to say I needed him to type something for me for school, but I knew how to type by the time CoM was out, so I'm not sure) if I beat that Riku battle for him, so I was all "sure" cuz I wasn't there yet so I didn't know how hard it would be. Apparently that battle is leveled, because I kid you not, I leveled up his stupid little Sora THIRTY FREAKING TIMES before I managed to beat Riku!!!! And even then it wasn't easy.

358/2 Days, and yeah is it gonna rock! I might actually have to get a DS though, cuz my sister is prolly gonna hog it (cuz, y'know, it's hers XP) But for Crisis Core, once I actually have enough free time to care, I'll just borrow my little brother's PSP.

That sucks. Are some of the prompts at least the same though, so you could just kinda reuse?

Ooh really? I wonder if there's diminishing stat stuff like that here too. I never really thought of that. Good luck though, I'm sure you'll make it! ^_^

ooh they can walk nao and dey're so cuuuuuuuuuute!!!

On Saturday I went to UIL district, and I got 2nd with a 95 out of 100, which is like a lot better than it might sound ^^ So I get to go to region, and then probably to state, and I get a letter jacket, and if I score a 100 at region I get a grant!! (not sure how much, but hey, cool beans) ^o^

KupoYah totally.

Well I know it's hard to focus on it like that, but that's how you learn when you're a baby, so it's still like an uber good way to learn supposedly, except that that's the way that the whole age thing applies to.

I know, but I'm just saying, nobody who has the money to give out scholarships is gonna care if some girl in Texas knows Spanish really well.

idk, if I could get a few people to join with me it might be really cool, it's just that otherwise, probably not, seems like. I wish I could consider my spanish class to be like a family, but they just don't care about the language at all. I feel really stuck up for looking down on them so much, but none of them are very good at it at all, and they don't really care, especially a few in particular, whose orals actually make the class break up in laughter at their mistakes in grammar and pronunciation. So yeah, you're right, we're not very close. I feel really alienated in there.

What's Charter, an electricity company or something? Well that sucks, but at least you had CoM. Fun game, that. Monotonous, but funner than most on gameboy.

Half tuition? *whistles* nice! What's the other 4k for? Sounds like you've got it made now ^^ Why are they so stressful, lotsa deadlines? Ugh I super hate it when parents are like that! I feel your pain! So your friends aren't going to college? Man, that stinks. I would hate to have to deal with that kind of atmosphere at school. Here even the stupid kids go to college (My mom was talking about this earlier. She said that like 94% of kids who graduate from my high school do)

I know, aren't they? They're 2 weeks old now and just starting to open their eyes X3

KupoHuh, I didn't quite make that connection to English before, but you're right. That's an interesting point. And it's especially easier when it really counts, like in arguing. Too many times in real life I can't think quite fast enough when the pressure is on or come up with a brilliant comeback later. On the computer it's easy >:3

True true. But I think that's mostly only that true for learning via osmosis (as in just listening to learn. Ha! I quoted "via osmosis" and it applied!! lawl), maybe not so much for actually being taught. I really don't think I would've been able to learn it this well when I was younger.

Hm, that's odd. It's sounds like it'd have a specific purpose. My school has a spanish club (might join next year), just not that, but apparently it doesn't matter...? It seems like it'd be for scholarships or something, but then again, I'm sure way too many ppl here know how to speak spanish for anyone higher up to actually care >.>

No, everyone hates the teacher and everyone (that I know of) loves me for standing up to her. She's not just some teacher or I wouldn't be this against her, trust me I'm normally a really well-behaved kid. She's too crazy to like. Stuff is cooling down though, and oddly enough I realized the other day that the whole semester is going by really really quickly, and the class is half over! yahoo!! I can deal with her for just that much longer, totally.

That sucks. Did you at least have a nice restful spring break?

Ooh guess what I gots puppehs!!! They are so adorable!! 1 week old beagles, 6 of them. 2 tricolor (Yang and Cowpuppy), 2 brown and white (Ely and Cola, they're my favs), and 2 blonde (Butterscotch and Bartok).

KupoIt's fine, I totally understand ^^

I know, writing is so much easier than speaking spanish, dontcha think? Like I can say it and it's not like it takes me a really long time to figure out the words or anything, but it's just simpler to write. Less stress and you can go back and fix the "le"s and "ya" and all that to be before stuff afterwards if you forget.

Well, I do think that everyone in America should be able to speak English, but the thing is that that just totally doesn't mean people can't speak and learn other languages. Why be so closed minded? Learning a second language is a really cool experience that really actually even does teach you about english more than you'd think and all that stuff too.

ooh that's cool! I knew there was an ASL Honor Society but I didn't know about the spanish one. Are you in it? What's it for?

Awesome. Paz y amor FTW!

Actually, I don't think she gave me a grade for it after all, but she did give me the assessments of my performance that the class made, and that was pretty interesting. Most of them were really good. A surprising number of them said I didn't have very good control of the class though, which is odd, cuz I didn't feel that way at all.

KupoCoolz ^^ I didn't have much homework at all over the weekend either, which is double good, cuz I was at the AD state competition the whole time...which actually means that I had a lot of downtime I could've done it in, but I wouldn't've wanted to.

and if I'd had a lot of homework I might not've gone, and then my friend in there, Derek, probably wouldn't've asked me out. I have an awesome boyfriend, I'm so excited!! Squee! ♥♥♥

Blah. Spanish class sucks. Love the language, don't really like the class. the oral point system is stupid. And I realized over the weekend that the amount I speak in Spanish is directly related to how comfortable I feel at the moment, and I always feel sorta uptight in there, and I think that's because I'm so afraid of making mistakes because I feel like I have a reputation to protect.

I know I do that too! Except at school I'll go ahead and translate it for them so they don't get really annoyed or think I'm a freak or something, but at home I'll just talk really slow and see if they can pick up on the cognates.

Exactly. Know what matters and what doesn't. Actually though, stuff is kind of cooling off between me and her I think, so that's good. Arguing is so much fun, but in almost a masochistic way, you know? Awesome and mentally stimulating as it is, peace is just kinda better. I like mellow.

Yeah, I did it and it went pretty well sort of. I was really nervous and charades didn't go very well, but I improvised a modified-to-be-relevant-to-the-lesson version of silent ball and that worked pretty well.
