To answer your question on "December - The Sun's Gift", no, I did not use a photograph for the background. I too find that lazy @_@ What I did was created my own gradiant for the sky, used round brushes for the stars, I made the moon myself from scratch, and I made the aurora borialis as well. I used this tutorial found on DA to help me with the northern lights.
