Oh, see, I have the opposite problem. I never draw the same way, so if I leave a pic, you can tell that I didn't do it all in once. The lines will be darker, or the pencil a shade lighter, or the lines more jagged.

I know what you mean, I'm the same way. I'll look at a pic, think 'shading's good, but the rest is lousy', even though shading is exactly what I was out to improve.
