You can always be better. That's what I always tell myself. If you don't have a goal to work toward, then you're drifting aimlessly, and that doesn't do you any good. It's always good to have a focus.

It's not pathetic to remember something like that. There's another part to the saying I said earlier: No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever forgotten. No act of cruelty, no matter how small, is ever forgotten or forgiven. To me, constructive criticism means pointing out something good first, then saying what could be better. Something like "Hey, you did a great job on the line art. If you don't mind a little advice, your shading could use a little work. But nice job^^". Begin and end with a compliment is what I try to do.

Screencaps, vids, anything. Sometimes I'll ignore the pic and watch the shading. That seems to help. And no, I didn't call the cops on myself, but I DID give myself a nasty black eye!
