Yeah. Changed it to 5 since he's my favorite.

I saw the movie last weekend, on Sunday.

I believe it's the best goddamn movie I have watched in a looong time.

The ending...Yeah, I would have liked it if the others came back, but hey. Deaths always make a movie good.

Heh yeah, some parts freaked me out though.

nope, I'm not emo, and to be honest I don't really like emos. They're weird, in a weird way.

I guess I'm not emo, goth, punk or alto. I listen mostly to classic rock, but I dress kinda punk-like. Maybe I'm hippie, heck I don't know. All I know is that I am certainly no emo, hehe. Why did you ask anyway?

Sorry! I've been pretty busy lately. School is starting to pick up. I'm in my fourth semester out of six and its getting harder and harder to find any free time to draw outside of school projects.

I should probably post something that I've done recently. I'm just not happy with anything at the moment LOL

Plus, things have been picking up with my band and I'm hoping that I'll kick start a demo or two out of another band I'm trying to "regroup." So, most of my free time goes to that.

I'll scrounge around in the coming week and see if I have anything new that I might not mind posting.

Yeah, I like music but although I'm pretty good at rythm-games I don't play any instrument. (Not that they are comparible but hey).

I only realised yesterday, it's been exactly a year since I first came to this site... too bad I didnlt quite manage 100 pics, but quite a few of those were older ones I'd already done, so I haven't really done 100 in a year... that would be scary. o_o

Heh, in that case, you draw a lot more stuff than I do... but I usually end up spending ages on one pic and tend never to submit anything I don;t think is "good enough", which seems to be every other pic, as I'm very critical.

I probably won't have much time to submit stuff after the 29th as I'm starting a University course, but I might put a few things up when I get the chance. ^^

I think stories and poems and such are much underappreciated on fanart-central. I usually don't see comments on other people's stories, and I don't think many people would read here.
But well, what can you do about it =D

I don't really read stories and whatever because a lot of it is written in one really long paragragh which bothers me and i get distracted easily if it's not properlly written. lol. I can't say mine is much better with the random boxes where quotation and apostrophes should be. (i know, i fail at speeling) lol.

Haha, I had fun reading your story. At first I didn't really thought I would finish the whole thing, but in the end I'm glad I did. I got used to the boxes, lol.

I'm mega lazy lately. I'm working on this comic book and my original assignment was to design two characters, I finished 2 days ahead of schedule. Now, since some people quit, I have to make up for their characters, not to mention the slack of others, yet I have to pencil, ink and color the thing. Now I have 11 characters to draw, I've only done 4. 3 of which are on profile here. Honestly, I just don't think I want to do it anymore lol. I have another comic book opportunity with a friend and the story is very solid and unique and I get more creative control. Funny thing is, I'm not getting paid for any of it. :)

Anyways, sorry to rant. No new drawings, really. Nothing I want to display anyways!

I've been asked to draw a T-shirt design of "a boy made of peanut butter and fluff." I know, I know! I'm not sure what to draw but I've got a boy covered in peanut butter with pillows strapped to him and marsh mellows scattered on the ground. Only thing I could think of!

If I were you, I'd move into the graphic design field then. You can use photography as well as drawing and manipulating your work with computers.

I'm majoring in Illustration with a concentration in graphic design.

The thing about jobs is this:

They CAN be hard to find. But if you are good enough, you'll be surprised at how quickly the doors can open to you. The reason being is that most graphic designers simply .... suck!

Not just in their talents, but they overcharge, rip people off and generally give us all a bad name. Plus, most of them aren't that great to begin with. So I can't help but laugh at some of these people.

There was a guy that opened up a pub here locally, hired an artist for a weekly salary of 250 bucks to get a few paintings completed. 2 months went by and the only thing the guy completed on time was a shootty drawing of a river way in Ireland (Since its an Irish pub). So the owner stopped payment to the guy, the guy came in doging about how the owner stopped payment, and wondered why.

Needless to say the owner got very angry and threw the guy out of his pub. Hired a true professional (one of my professors) who charged him a flat fee of 60 bucks a painting and completed it in two weeks. Done.

So you see, its these A-holes we have to deal with. Problem is, most clients don't know they are being ripped off until its too late, then they are afraid to hire someone else for fear of it happening all over again.

But once you get in and start doing your thing, you'll build a steady client base. That, and there are plenty of job openings, if your portfolio is good enough, anyone will hire you.

My advice to you is this: Do what you love, for a living. If that is art and photography, then do it. No questions asked. TRUST ME. I used to be stuck in a situation doing something I thought I liked, something that everyone said I should do and convinced me that I liked enough to pursue. Discovered that I hated it and when I finally started doing what I love, all these doors opened for me and schooling became easy for me. I make straight A's without even trying, really. My home work doesn't seem like homework at all.

Not to say that an art degree is a cop-out degree, cause its not. It takes a special person to succeed at it. You and I are probably the best artists we know, am I right?

I'm not talking about online or anything, cause this is a common place to connect with other artists, but that being said, we are a rare breed.

We are like reptiles, we get better with age, stronger. Other people are mere mammals, they peak and get weaker.

The longer you draw, the better you become, no matter the age. If you, say, landscape, you eventually peak and then get weaker at it, then what? Retire? Same with just about any job out there. Except art.

Anyways, sorry this is so long, but the gist of the story is, do what you love doing, no matter what anyone says. :)

Its the only way to truly be happy.

wow your pictures are awesome! Photography is all about framing out a single moment in life and completely capturing it, no matter the subject matter.

You've done an excellent job. I think you have a natural talent for photography. I can't imagine the patience you must have had to capture the gecko and bee, let alone the rare opportunity in the frozen rose. Not only is it frozen (which obviously isn't the time of year for frost like that since the rose has bloomed) but its a vibrant yellow which compliments the background completely.

Actually, I've been back from holiday for a few days now, it's just that I had some kind of drawer's block and that I couldn't get a single drawing out of my pencil :( but now I'm doing better and my apologies (especially to SkyThing since I had to draw something for her, it will be up soon)
