Hey Pidge-san! I think I've seen you around FF.net, so I know what you mean.

DeviantArt is a pain, because they don't split the art by animes or stuff. It isn't all that great (and you'd be thankful to find something you know!) but... it's a bit more organized there. Not saying there aren't good artists here. I come back once in a while to check on them.

As for the scanner thing, I think you need a program... or maybe you just plug it in the computer and it installs for you? I have no idea...
