Hiiiiii!!!!!!!! ^^ The reason you can't find the post piccie, is because I haven't posted it yet. ^^' Only because I'm having trouble scanning it. You see, I drew the original first 3 pages in my sketchbook, and I can't seem to scan it, without a lot of the picture being cut off. But I'll work on it, and it ought to be up in about 2-3 days. BTW, on the forums, you said you skipped 2 grades and are now in 8th? Does that mean you're 11?

comment response on "Death Cheated":
No prob ^^ don't give it a second thought, no way you could've known, right?
Comment response on "Practice page":
Thanks @.@;; but lol from studying tone-work I *do* need practice ^^ cutting and sticking them on is just step one
o.o there are so many things I have to learn how to use them for.
Also, it's also practice with composition (PP's composition was just aweful, so bland and open for such a non-eventful scene), getting the characters down (the more I draw them, the more they'll stick to their "look" when I actually draw the comic)
not to mention scenary.
I'm terrible with backgrounds and such (especially structured ones like buildings and city-scapes @.@;;; gotta practice with that.
But thanks so much for the kind words!!!! ^^

just to clear up Bullsnake's comment:
Maylia's was putting us on the same "manga-writing-level" (I assume) while Matt (bullsnake) and I have a certain critique of "Ray".
Not so much the art skill, but other aspects of it.
^^ i don't think she was saying one was better than the other; it's just that "Ray" seems to be the manga that rules FAC right now and she was suggesting that mine was interesting enough to "rival" it.

Firstly, thanks for your comment on the Yin Yang piccy!
Regarding your problems with the paper: If you paint something and it soaks through, it could be that the paper is too thin to hold the paint, or it could also be that you've used to much solvent (if it's watercolours, that'll be water). Painting the same area over and over again that can also be a cause. (that happens to me quite a few times ^^.)
I used normal drawing paper for the piccy (they call it cartridge paper in some art stores). You might want to try out watercolouring paper for your paintings, or some other thick paper, but they would be expensive. Another alternative would be to control the amount of paint used.
As for the scanning part, I understand your problem. Me hate my scanner, too. >.< The colours always turn out to be different from the original pic, especially the colour, pink. So all these while, I had to adjust the colour saturation and contrast with Photoshop until I get the a somewhat identical colour....Some scanners might come with CD-ROMs which have some sort of imaging program installed into your PC when you first installed your scanner. Such programs might have a colour adjustment function which allows you to meddle with the colours of the scanned pic. You might want to check out if you have such a program. Hope this helps, and all the best! ^^
