Got Bugs?
Before reporting a bug in FAC, PLEASE read the following first to check that it isn't one we already know about. Otherwise, please "rtfm" (but in a nice way):
>> Known Issues and Bug Reports -- as of Friday, Nov.13, 2009.
>> Bugs Fixed - Nov.13, 2009

Thanks for the response. This is really one of those things that a personal block list feature could solve... I'm not sure how this all started (I just received a report from Inuyashasdemon, and I can't go taking action without knowing all the facts first), but for now, if you simply tell them (kindly) that you are not going to respond to them, eventually they should get the message. I know it's not much of a solution, but it's about all I can think of.

It has been over a week since I sent in the cancellation request to delete my FAC account. However, nothing has happened. I was just wondering (again) if I needed to send another email (I followed all of the directions to cancel the account). In the support section it says to wait three days, but it has been seven, and now I'm beginning to get irritated. Thank you.

Sorry to bother you, but a little over three days ago I sent FAC an email to delete my account, as it is required to discontinue the account. However, my account has not been deleted yet, and I was just wondering if something was wrong or if I should send another email to verify this. Sorry to bother you!
Thank you!
Thank you!

Please, delete this when you get it but I'm not to sure how to respond to you in any other way, if there is a way I would like you to send the link to the forum or any other form of contact.
Yes, I understand that my actions are and where innapropriate and I am not trying to convince you either way as to ban me or not. I would just like to make it clear that I am no longer doing that because it is a waste of mine and everyone else's time.
Now, I understand that it is allmost impossiable to go through all the pictures that come through, but it just seems odd that the pictures must be approved before they are displayed and the pornographic material still gets through. Some of my submissions were rejected because they were on lined paper so its obvious that SOMEONE looks at the images before they are displayed.
I also undersand that if it were an overnight change it would be very hard to adjust to and also very hard to get ride of the material that is allready on the site. I blame no one for that, all i am worried about is tightening the rules or inforceing them a little more.
I am also not apossed to general nudity, as long as it is done tastfully. I am just repulsed when the nudity is the main focus of the image which therefore makes it pornographic. I am no longer going to take out my frusterations on anyone on this site.

I do agree with you on the subject of artistic vs. "exhibitionist" nudity. "Pornography" at its simplest is art intended to sexually arouse another person; as a legal term it has a loose definition which encompasses both explicit sexual material as well as exhibitionism.
For comparison, deviantART has a rule against such nudity, racism, and other forms of offensive content, but as just a general user on dA I have no knowledge of how "well" it is enforced.
As for the approval process... *sighs* it is not a perfect system. Since FAC sees hundreds of submissions daily, the amount of screening we can apply to any given piece tends to vary inversely with the size of the workload. (The lined-paper rule has almost never been consistently enforced.) It's easy to take a close look at individual pieces when the submissions queue is short, but not if it piles up to the hundreds.
PS: Sorry for deleting your thread from the public forum; if you want to post a thread about the subject in general then that is fine, but please do not call out specific submissions or name specific users in a public topic. I have already posted a copy of your first message in our private staff discussion area; any reports of specific submissions may be e-mailed to our help address (support@fanart-central.net) or PM'ed (PM = private message) to specific site staff members in the forum.
