Kay and Seto haven't made up, it's been over 24 hours. Mai is dying because of dueling against Marik.
Kay: Well...I guess it's time to go against Marik. *Puts on her duel disk and walks to the tower alone* I hope I win.

*So they duel, it's really exciting, very cool, eventually, everyone comes out of hiding and is watching and then Marik summons Ra and Kay is suppossed to die, but she is still standing and he's left wide open*
Marik: No! How can you be alive?!
Kay: A little...thing...called...will power... *Panting heavilly and is badly hurt and looks ready to fall any minute now*
