i can't sing. i used to be in chorus, but something happened after i stopped. i dunno. you ever hear of "The Tales of Hoffman?" I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't. It's an opera about this poet who always gets a girlfriend who dies or something because of this evil man. We did a play based on that in chorus once (without the dying part. we had to have one with a happy ending). We had two real opera singers come to our school to be Hoffman and...the...uh...girl. My older brother was the villain. I tried out for the part of the villain. I only got the part of the messanger. I remember my lines very clearly because i only had one: "I have a letter for the poet Hoffman!" We even had to go actually SEE the opera at some opera theater place. IT WAS THREE HOURS LONG!! AND IT WAS IN ITALLIAN OR SOMETHING!! I COULDN'T TAKE IT!!! And THEN our class went on a field trip to the theater to where the opera was to have a backstage tour. When the tour guide asked who had seen the tales of hoffman, i was the only one with my hand raised. everyone just kinda stared at me.neodusk on January 26, 2007, 1:13:00 PM
