Hm? Oh, right... well, actually, what I do is I scan them up (usually one scan for the top and left) then a second (for the bottom and right) and then I put the two pieces together in just plain ol' MS Paint. I suppose it could work with photoshop too, but I just tend to prefer Paint. I copy and cut out the strip of picture that I'll need to add on (pick one to be your base pic, then another to paste on the extra corners you need) and then put it all together!!
As long as the paper was perfectly aligned in the scanner when you do this (so it's not all crooked, y'know) it should come out fine.
However, this is only for pieces that are sketchbook-sized, aka slightly larger than my scanner will allow. It depends on exactly how big the piece is that you want to have scanned.
