KB is the size of the picture.When you put your pointer over the pic (without clicking)it will show thw KB.On any pic -scanned,paintshop,saved,etc.it will say it.I hope anything im telling you is helping you.
Did u try recoping the pic?
I have never realized the pic size when scanning.i know they ask sm,med,large,pic.
Since i got my camera i have been using that.but before i used my scanner.Later i can check out my scanner.
