tawny had a dream he was a trampoline."ow"he said. he heard fast scurring. he sat up and looked around. there sat amber and three tiny balls of fluff."wha- wai- me- kits- huh?" he said very confused.amber nodded."awwwww!" "they're adorable." he said. "whos adorable ?" said dustfur as he came in to the den."wooooooh whats that?" said dustfur already knowing the answer just completly shocked. "they're kits." said amber."mine."."what should we name them?
tawny asked. "well i was going to name this one-" she said pointing to a kit that could have been tawnys twin with her nose."goldkit." this one-" she said pointing to one that looked like her."hazel and this one-" she finished sniffin a mixed yellow and brown one."is smudge." she said. "awww i love their names" said dustfur

The kit looked up. Her mothers’ dark ginger face smiled down at her. “Your name will be Hollykit.” Hollykit purred, wiping her paw over her eye. She heard a sigh and looked over at a light brown tabby. Her eyes were amber and filled with pain. “Ma.” She mewed, her mouth stretching wide, revealing her sharp white teeth. The ginger she-cat licked her on the head, pulling her over to her brothers with her tail. “Squirrelflight, I need more cobwebs, I‘ll be back later.” The tabby mewed. Hollykit saw two other kits behind the tabby. She swept them out of the nursery with her tail, running away. “Ok Leafpool.” Squirrelflight purred grooming a pale gray tom-kit. “This is Jaykit.” She said picking Hollykit up and dropping her next to the other kits. Jaykit hissed and backed away shaking his head. A golden tom-kit cuffed Squirrelflight around the ears. “Lionkit.” She purred pushing the kit off her. A huge tabby walked into the nursery and looked down at the kits, purring. “They’re perfect.” He said licking Squirrelflights cheek. “This one is a copy of you, Brambleclaw.” She purred, grabbing Lionkit by the tail and pulling him back. Hollykit looked up at Brambleclaw. He leaned down and touched noses with the tiny kit. “Da.” She mewed. A slender pale gray she-cat walked into the nursery. Her belly was round with the kits she would bear soon. “Hello Ferncloud.” Squirrelflight said. Ferncloud picked Jaykit up and put him back by his siblings. Hollykit purred licking her brothers’ cheek. He shook his head, pushing her away. Lionkit leapt onto Hollykits back knocking her forward. Brambleclaw picked Hollykit up by the scruff, holding her out of her brothers’ reach. Ferncloud walked over to a nest in the corner, dropping into it and washing herself. “Is this a gathering?” A huge flaming ginger tom meowed, walking over to Squirrelflight. A gray tom and a brown tabby she-cat also came in. Brambleclaw dipped his head and left the nursery. The brown tabby purred rubbing her head against Squirrelflights. “They’re beautiful kits.” She mewed, looking down at the gray one. “Thank you, Brook.” Squirrelflight meowed. Lionkit jumped up growling, wrapping his paws around the ginger cats throat. “Lionkit!” Squirrelflight exclaimed and pulled him down. “I’m sorry Firestar.” She said, scolding the kit. Firestar licked Hollykits head. “It’s fine. Stormfur, I need you for a hunting patrol.” He said turning to the gray tom. Stormfur nodded, leaving. Hollykits eyes widened at the thought of hunting. She turned and pounced on Lionkits tail. He hissed and spun around leaping on her. Brook put her paw in between them. Hollykit jumped back at the strange smell, like wind and stone. Lionkit squeaked and but Brooks paw. She pulled it back. “Didn’t that hurt?” Hollykit mewed. Brook shook her head.
