A check is when you use your shoulder to knock someone down, into the boards or onto the ice. It's the "hits" they refer to if you've ever seen it on TV.Don't worry, I'm coming to terms with it. How does the song go? "My weakness is that I care too much". I get too involved with this stuff. But don't worry, I'm a lot calmer than before, thanks to you and A1.

The coach is usually the problem. He taught his kids to check, they were too good at it to have picked it up on their own, plus the whole team was doing it. HE was a nice guy, but still, teaching your kids to check at this age is ridiculous. (We're talkind 7-10 yo)I'm just frustrated with everything, and this litte jackass picked the worst possible time to pop his little pimple of a head up.

Very little, since there are several dialects of it. I can count 1-19, say stuff like "begin" "Point" "red" "black", etc, mostly martial arts stuff. I'm trying to learn the characters first, although thanks to Naruto themes with subs, I can actually see the words and how they flow, and I've kind of memorized the whole "Fighting Dreamers" Opening, lol. Damn, that song is addicting!Latin? Awesome! I actually want to learn that, but it is a PAIN to learn on your own.
I would have said "little monster", but really, the coach is the problem, since the kid wasn't the only one doing it, there were several.
I'm nothing if not determined...or stupid, depends on who you ask. This is pretty much what I want to do career wise (The problem with the friend pertains to gaming), so I'd better learn to deal with the guy, I guess. He'll never get far with that ego of his.

I used to know some Spanish, very little Italian, very little German, and even some ancient Egyptian. I sucked at all of them, lol. I'm trying Japanese now, and it's a little easier, since it comes with martial arts and Naruto, but it's still damn hard. How about you?Well, the "big kids" were okay, it was the little kids. They were checking each other, and you're not supposed to that young. One kid was close to getting a game suspension for having so many penalites.
lol, things are never easy, so I'm not going to get my hopes up. If you don't get your hopes up, the fall isn't so bad afterward XD

I honestly don't remember what I said, and not a word of German anymore. This was a couple years ago, and I was horrible with that language to begin with.The games were fine, everyone behaved, more or less. A lot of penalties, but they weren't really big stuff. Just enough to warrant a call.
I don't think it's over, that's exactly my worry. I'm going to be clashing with this guy again, and probably more than once -_-' Oh well. I'm not going anywhere, and he's not stepping back, so it'll be interesting to see which of us gets sick of the other first, lol.
