For colouring lineart, I think it just depends on what method you wish to use, and their are plenty of tutorials.
If you are getting Photoshop and have the money (O_O, so expensive!) see if you can get Adobe Photoshop CS2, it's the latest version with spiffy features which aren't on version 5 that you expect that with an upgraded version, for instance, lots of brushes. (My Mum's ex boyfriends were usually computer experts that gave me programs... I never bought the programs myself... =^.~= hehe...)
There is nothing wrong with using version 5 for lineart, and if you get stuck I will be more than happy to help!
