Thank you so much for the explaination! ^^ but I still don't get it , about the St.Patrick's Day and Easter Sunday..I understand the others..( I guess..XD) why would St.Parick drove the snakes out of the Ireland ( did I wrote that right? ^^;) lol..XD and yeah, most of our states has different Sultans ( you might say "sultan" is "king"...^^;) like...if Selangor, we have Sultan Selangor, if Johor, then Sultan Johor...every states celebrates their own Sultan's Birthday and Sultan's Birthday is a public holiday...^^; ok, NOW , I'll explain the Public Holidays you want to know about..:)

Wesak Day >> Celebrated around May by Buddhists which marks three momentous events in Buddha's life - his birthday, enlightenment, and achievement of Nirvana. The celebration begins at dawn when devotees gathering at the temples to meditate on the Eight Precepts. Donations, giving food to the needy, offerings of incense, joss sticks and prayers are carried out. The sutras are chanted in unison by monks in saffron robes. The celebration is highlighted by a candle procession.

Hari Raya Puasa >> The most significant celebration for Muslims( Malay People), it signifies the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. The celebration is determined by sighting of the new moon on the day, before the next month on the Muslim calendar, Syawal. The words ‘Hari Raya’ mean 'day of celebration.

Deepavali >> Deepavali is also known as Diwali, or the Festival of Lights. Light is significant in Hinduism ( for India/Hindu people)because it signifies goodness. So, during the Festival of Lights, 'deeps', or oil lamps, are burned throughout the day and into the night to ward off darkness and evil. Diwali is celebrated on the last day of the last month of lunar calendar.

Hari Raya Qurban >> Muslims all over the world observe Eid-ul Adha (in Arabic) or Hari Raya Aidil Adha (in Malay) on the 10th day of Zulhijah, the last month of the Muslim calendar. The corresponding Gregorian date this year is on 1st February 2004. This festival is celebrated in conjunction with the pilgrimages performed by Muslims, called the Haj and to commemorate Prophet Abraham�s spirit of Qurban or sacrifice. Thus, in Singapore, Hari Raya Aidil Adha is also known as Hari Raya Haji or Hari Raya Qurban.

Thaipusam >> Celebrated in all parts of the world where there is a concentration of South Indians, the manifestation of the festival is best witnessed at Batu Caves and Penang.Thaipusam celebrates the day Goddess Parvati bestowed upon her son the “vel” or lance to vanquish the evil demon, Soorapadam.This lance denotes spiritual insight, ability to differentiate right from wrong, righteousness and steadfastness. However, for many Hindus, Thaipusam has come to mean the birthday of Lord Subramaniam, also known as lord Muruga, the younger son of Lord Shiva.

Nuzul Al-Quran >> The Quran, literally "the recitation"; also called "The Noble Quran"; also transliterated as Quran, Koran, and Al-Quran) is the central religious text of Islam.Muslims believe the Quran, in its original Arabic, to be the literal word of God that was revealed to Muhammad over a period of several years until his death, and believe it to be God's final revelation to humanity. Muslims regard the Quran as a continuation of other divine messages that started with those revealed to Adam — the first prophet.
