uhhhh...well it depends on what version you have.it's usually at the top tool bar and it says opacity.
it shows a percentage.

yeah ok.i set the brush to a really low opacity. say, 17 and layer on the color. from base color to shadow, and finaly the highlights. i always use a much darker color for the shadows than i want to show up.
when i start the highlights i set the opacity higher, say 67.
it works rather well.

thankies! i'm gonna start playing it again. i beat it once (tos) but it was rented so i very much rushed through it. I'm might be doing more art later on.
