Sam: *reaches the front after a few minutes of waiting*

Clerk: <Hello, how may I help you?>

Sam: Buh... uh... do you speak English?

Clerk: ... ... Y... yes. A tourist?

Sam: Yes. Do you take American currency?

Clerk: No, but you seem new. I will take only this time. Go exchange for French currency.

Sarah: *sighs in relief* Merci, monsieur...

Clerk: Vous êtes les bienvenus, madame.

Sam: ... Right... D: *heads out with Sarah* Haha! That was embarrassing. ^^;

Sarah: How about we go and um... find that currency exchange now? So we don't have to do that again? ^^;

Sam: GOOOOOD idea. ^^; *walks out with Sarah to find something that may look like a currency exchange*

Sarah: *looks around, until she spots a building conveniently labeled "currency exchange" in english, most likely so tourists can find it* Oh! Hey, there it is. :D

Sam: Hooray! Let's go inside! :D

*inside, it isn't as crowded as one may expect, but then again, it was still around the end of winter, and no one really had a reason to travel at that point, save for a few American business people. Sam and Sarah manage to easily exchange their American currency for French currency - enough to have and really enjoy their honeymoon - then walk back out onto the streets*

Sam: Great! Now we can get some breakfast. XD;

Sarah: Finally. I'm starving. XD;

Sam: Same here. XP *walks with her, trying to find a decent looking breakfast place - not too hard, as it IS Paris*

Sarah: *spots a small restaurant on the corner of a street* Oh hey, how about there? "Le Petite Cafe."

Sam: Seems nice - let's go! :) *enters the place with her*

Cafe: *is indeed "petite", with a cute home-like feel to it. The walls are pink*

Sarah: ...This place is adorable. X3 Come on, let's sit down. ^^ *leads him to a table*

Sam: *sits down at a table with Sarah* ... I wonder if we'll be able to understand the menu. XD;

Sarah: Uhmmm... didn't think of that. ^^; Well, this is a big tourist city, so it SHOULD have SOME English in there...

Sam: You've got a point there. :P

Waiter: *hands them menus*

Sam: *looks it over* You are quite correct.

Sarah: Yay. :D *looks over the menu* ... I don't know what to pick. D:

Sam: Why? Too many choices? XP *looking over the menu*

Sarah: Everything looks GOOD... D;

Sam: We could always just wander around, look all around Paris - that would be cool, right? :P

Sarah: A walk would be REALLY nice, actually. :)

Sam: Let's go, then. ^^ *walks out of the hotel with Sarah, onto the streets*

*The city is fairly populated, though mostly by X-WDs, just as America once was*

Sarah: ...Heh. It looks like it did back home... Glad they aren't having the same problems WE did...

Sam: ... Not yet, but who knows with the Green Flu... Not that we're gonna be talking about that kind of stuff right now. Happy thoughts! XP

Some People: *looks over at Sam and Sarah, and know that they are speaking English, and understand right away that they're tourists. Even after the infection, it seems that Paris is a popular place to visit*

Sarah: Definitely, happy thoughts... *notices the people looking* Aaand, we must stick out like a sore thumb right now. >_>

Sam: Well, at least we're helping their economy. ^^; Geez... the architecture is beautiful...

Sarah: I KNOW... it's a shame we didn't get to see much of it last time we were here... Not that Versailles wasn't just as pretty, but...

Sam: I get it. I would have liked to see the rest of France, too, but hey, it was way too dangerous... and still kinda dangerous WITHIN Versailles. But hey, here we are now, and it's CRAZY, so... yeah. XP *looks over at what appears to be a book shop* ... Hey, wanna check this out then go get some sort of breakfast or something?

Sarah: Yeah, sure! Let's see if we can find anything in English, heheh.

Sam: Or better yet, an English-to-French dictionary. XP *walks into the bookstore with her*

Bookstore: *is a small, old-fashioned sort of place*

Sarah: *looks around, eyeing the books on the shelves* ...I like this place. I can't understand have the titles, but... I like it. It's quiet.

Sam: Very cozy, almost, yeah. :) *he walks through the store with Sarah, looking through the shelves, the titles*

Sarah: *spots something* Whoop. Found the dictionary. *reaches for it, and plucks it off the shelf* :D

Sam: Oh awesome! Hey, do you think they take American money here? D:

Sarah: Uhhhhhm.... I have no idea. I hope so, don't wanna have to run out to a currency exchange... DX

Sam: Ahahah... we can ask. ^^; *gets in line for the book*

Sarah: *waits with him* >_>

*When they land, it's around midnight. The landing area is close to Paris*

Sam: *steps out of the plane with Sarah and looks around* ... Oh wow... they really cleaned this place up nicely...

Sarah: *looks around, somewhat in awe* Wow, they really did...

Sam: I managed to book us a hotel room before-hand - the hotel's in Paris. It's called "Le Diamant de Paris". It's two blocks from here I think. :) *walks with her into the city*

Sarah: *walks arm in arm with him, looking around* I can't believe how different this place looks...

Sam: VERY different... like, it's a city again. X3

*they walk until they reach the hotel, in which they check in and enter their room - it is a very nice room*

Sam: *rolls in the suitcase, setting it down beside the bed - then he climbs into the bed, feeling exhausted* Ugh... even after that long nap...

Sarah: *lays down next to him* Yeah, I know... long trips just take drain all your energy, you know?

Sam: Yeah seriously... mmf... *he snuggles against her in the bed, closing his eyes and smiling* g'night...

Sarah: *puts her arms around him and snuggles into his neck, sighing happily* Good niiight... <3

Sam: *he soon drifts off into sleep, excited for the next day*

Sarah: *does the same*

The Next Morning

Sam: *still asleep, as the bed is quite comfortable*

Sarah: *wakes up first, having slept longer on the plane ride. she stays in bed, snuggled against Sam* <3

Sam: *he snuggles with her in her sleep, nuzzling her a little. Even while sleeping, he felt so very happy* ...mm...

Sarah: *nuzzles him back, kissing his cheek* ..I love you, Sam... <3

Sam: *he mumbles back, mirroring Sarah the night before -* mm'love you... too...

Sarah: *smiles at this. she combs her hand through his hair, hugging him close*

Sam: *he wakes up, his smile widening, giving Sarah a cheery, silent "good morning". He then kisses her, combing his fingers through her hair to match her own actions*

Sarah: *gladly kisses him back, reciprocating his happiness* Good morning... ready for some fun?

Sam: *he grins* Oh hell yeah. I've been ready for some fun for YEARS. *he gets out of bed and gets dressed* Where to today?

Sarah: *does the same* I dunno, where CAN we go?

Sam: ... Almost. Look out the window. <3

Sarah: Mmh...? *drowsily looks out the window*

Sam: See that in the distance, if you look over to the left? That's Europe. :)

Sarah: *blinks awake* Oh... oh wow, okay... :D

Sam: *he smiles warmly at her, happy, and happier to know that Sarah is happy, and just happy to be with her, and happy to be going to France with her. Just... happy*

Sarah: *looks back over at Sam, grinning at him, obviously excited* Almost there... :D

Sam: Right, almost there... :D Hah, this plane ride didn't seem so long. :P

Sarah: That's because we slept for most of the ride... :P

Sam: ... True. I didn't think we'd sleep for that long... then again, the night before was somewhat... ... well, y'know. XP

Sarah: Obviously... hahah... I can take the blame for that one. ;3

Sam: No, no - we're both to blame. XP *he rests his head on her shoulder* Not that I didn't mind...

Sarah: *kisses the top of his head, then rests her own head against his* I didn't really mind either... *jokingly* I wouldn't mind some more of that, actually. X)

Sam: *grins at her, a hint of lust in his eyes* Oh yeah?

Sarah: *grins back, that hint reflecting off her own gaze* Oh yeah.

Sam: *keeps his grin, nuzzling Sarah some more, kissing her neck*

Sarah: Mm... *moves a hand to the back of his head, combing it through his hair* <3

Sam: *smiles and closes his eyes from this, as it feels good to him* Mmm... <3

Sarah: *kisses his forehead, still combing through his hair* <3

Sarah: *lets him, content with just hugging him, being close to him* <3

Sam: Mmm... can I just go to sleep like this...? X3

Sarah: *grins* It's still earlyyy... but you can go right ahead.

Sam: *he smiles sleeping will make the time go faster. He blanks out his mind, thinking of nothing until he drifts off to sleep*

Sarah: *decides to follow his example, even though it's early. she dozes off for a few hours, falling asleep there, with Sam resting against her*

Sam: *when Sam wakes up again, it's gotten dark out. He looks out the window. They were flying over to ocean* ...

Sarah: *is still asleep--she shifts around a bit when he moves*

Sam: *he smiles softly when he sees that Sarah is asleep. Under his breath, he mumbles -* ... "Too early" my @$$... XP

Sarah: *smiles a bit in her sleep, snuggling a bit closer to him* mm... <3

Sam: *snuggles back, whispering to her* ... I love you, Sarah...

Sarah: *smiles a bit more widely, and sighs happily* love you... too...

Sam: *his smile also widens from her response, finding it heart warming and hilarious all at once*

Sarah: *keeps sleeping, looking quite comfortable and happy*

Sam: *whispers to Sarah again, grinning* We're almost in France, Sarah...

Sarah: Mm... s'excited...

Sam: *he nuzzles her* I'm excited, too... X3

Sarah: *starts waking up from the light touch* Mm... are we there yet...?

Sam: *raises an eyebrow at this* Was she really? What happened to it? D:/

Sarah: ... *sighs* We lost it when the house burned down...

Sam: D: ... ... ... *he's silent for the longest time. After the long silence, he finally speaks* ... I'm sorry...

Sarah: *shakes her head* It's fine, you had nothing to do with it... stop apologizing... <:/

Sam: ... Kinda hard not to... *he stops himself from furthering the conversation by opening his book and reading*

Sarah: *doesn't want to continue the conversation, and so she doesn't* Mmh... *flips open her book, and reads as well* ...

Sam: *continues to read, interested in the book, but somewhat distracted by the lowered mood* ...

Sarah: *can't really bring herself to read much, wondering why she even brought that up at ALL... she sighs and closes her book, putting it down on her lap; then, she rests her head back against Sam's shoulder, closing her eyes* ...sorry for bringing the mood down...

Sam: ... It's alright - that wasn't exactly your fault. We've got a whole plane trip to bring the mood up and down anyway. <:P

Sarah: *sarcastically* Oh BOY... I'd rather just have the mood go up and STAY up... XC

Sam: *he puts down his book and kisses Sarah on the cheek* We can do that. :P

Sarah: *smiles at this* Thank you. :) This is supposed to be a good time... no need to bog it down with non-happy things. XP

Sam: I agree. XP *nuzzles her, kissing her neck* Hah... I lost interest in reading right now...

Sarah: Aww... m'sorry... *leans up and kisses his cheek*

Sam: *he grins, then kisses her on the lips, placing his hand against the side of her face* Mmm... no you're not. >:P

Sarah: *kisses him back* Yes I aaaam... X3

Sam: Sure, sure. XP *continues to kiss Sarah, running his fingers through her hair, rubbing her back*

Sarah: *only kisses him back, putting her arms around his neck and pulling him closer* mm...

Sam: *is just as excited as Sarah. He thanks the pilot manning the plane for being willing to make the trip, then climbs on with Sarah, sitting down in the plane* X3

Sarah: *sits down next to him, book already in hand. she fidgets in her seat, wanting the pilot to just take off already* X3

*soon they are off, flying to France*

Sam: *puts an arm around Sarah, hugging her happily*

Sarah: *returns the sentiment, resting her head on his shoulder* finally on our way... X)

Sam: Back to France - this time for a very positive reason. I'm excited. Are you excited? Wait - that's a stupid question - of COURSE you're excited. It feels so weird to be in a plane again, though, after all this time...

Sarah: It really HAS been a long time, hasn't it? I hadn't even thought about it...

Sam: The city seems so small from where we are. It's really cool! :D

Sarah: *looks out the window* Yup... heh... pretty soon, we won't be seeing much but a whole lotta ocean.

Sam: Surrounded by water... way high up in the sky... heh... it sounds almost like a dream...

Sarah: Almost... in any case, it'd be a dream come true. :P

Sam: No kidding. XP *glances at her book* What'cha readin'?

Sarah: Oh, um, Down the Ladder. Haven't started it yet, but I heard good things about it, so...

Sam: I heard it was good, too. A magazine I read gave it a good review. :P My book's just a boring history sort of book.

Sarah: History can be interesting. :P

Sam: ... It's actually been recently published - it's a mixture of details of and interviews about the first outbreak. So yeah, I guess that's interesting. Scary-interesting. XP

Sarah: Oh wow, really? You'll have to let me borrow it when you're done. I mean, I know mom and dad told me all about it, but... it'd still be an interesting read.

Sam: Yeah, there's even a prologue about life BEFORE the infection... lots of detail in this thing. Here - I'll get it out right now - start reading it so I can finish and you can start reading it. :P *he gets out the book - the title of the book is "The Remaking Of Society: The Green Flu" and it shows on the cover a picture of a young man underneath a picture of the man as an X-WD*

Sarah: *looks at the cover* ...Huh... You know, mom was actually working on a book like that...

Sam: *closes his eyes, enjoying the feeling of her fingers on his cheek* Mmm... you wanna go to bed?

Sarah: Sure... *smiles at him* can I just stay here?

Sam: *smiles back at her* ... Of course you can. <3

Sam: *nuzzles her right back, very much enjoying the moment*

Sarah: mm... tomorrow's going to be a long day...

Sam: Mmhmm... but the flight'll be worth it... FRANCE... jeez...

Sarah: *Can't even describe how happy she is to have him... it took her years of searching, countless failed relationships, to find out that the one person she needed was the first true friend she ever made. she falls asleep, head resting on her husband's shoulder, with a smile on her face and not a care in the world*

Sam: *he continues combing his hand through her hair until he too falls asleep, dreaming of Sarah, being with her*

THE NEXT MORNING

Sarah: *has arrived at the outpost with Sam, ready to get on the plane. her excitement shows*

Sarah: *kisses him up and down his neck, his jaw, waiting for him to put the condom into place. once she was sure he was done, she attaches their mouths again, kissing him passionately, deeply*
