Sarah: *is still asleep, snuggled up to Sam, smiling a bit, hugging him tightly. luckily for her, her dreams had been uninterrupted by negative thoughts, and she slept peacefully*

Sam: *wakes up from a nightmare, sweating and shaking, looking around wildly then relaxing slightly when he finds that it wasn't real. In his nightmare he witnessed his father, out of bed and on the streets, catch fire. When Sam ran over to help him, the ground underneath them both opened up and his father then tried to drag Sam down to hell, hissing to Sam "why can't you be good enough... why can't you be good enough...?"*

Sarah: *wakes up from the movement* Muhh...? Sam, what's wrong...? D;

Sam: *he doesn't dare look at her. He speaks quickly, wiping some sweat from his brow* Nothing! Nothing - nothing's wrong. D8

Sarah: *is more or less fully awake now. she narrows her eyes at him* Sam, I can tell something's wrong. Did you have a bad dream?

Sam: *continues to kiss Sarah, touch her, until he finally decides to lay down beside her, feeling content. He puts an arm around Sarah, smiling at her sleepily*

Sarah: *puts an arm around him, snuggling close, nuzzling into his neck. she tries her best not to worry, but it lingered slightly in the back of her mind as her lips brush against Sam's neck. she kisses it, wishing she knew what would happen next* ...

Sam: *whispers to her, unaware of her inner turmoil* Good night, Sarah...

Sarah: *whispers back, trying to keep her worry out of her voice* Goodnight, Sam...

Sam: *it doesn't take too long for him to fall asleep, a small smile on his face. For him, the night ended on a good note*

Sarah: *takes a bit longer to fall asleep, but once she does, her dreams are filled with nothing but happiness--no looming worry or despair in her thoughts*

The Next Morning

Blood Puppet: *paces the dentist's office, thinking of some way to successfully murder Sam in a way that would allow him to eat the Lieutenant whenever he wanted. Perhaps he could simply eat the Lieutenant alive? Just cut off chunks... keep him captured... it may work*

Celine: *comes into the office, and watches him pace for a moment before asking* What's bothering you?

Blood Puppet: I have figured out a way to kill him... but how to capture him and KEEP him captured is the main... *he eyes the dentist's chair* ... oohoho... a good way to keep him - alright. Alright. The Lieutenant. We must find a way to kidnap him and bring him here.

Celine: You're planning to capture him? Hm... I know there's a street he takes every day on his way to work that is barely used... if you can find a way to get him to stop by one of the alleyways, I could do the rest of the work for you.

Blood Puppet: ... Good work, Celine... I could simply stand there. He's bound to notice me. You can hide and then drug him when he tries to attack.

Celine: Precisely what I was thinking. When will you attempt this?

Blood Puppet: Very soon. Maybe a bit later this week. I'll let him have some time with his fiance before then. I'm considerate like that, after all.

Celine: Of course... I'm sure she must have recovered already. They deserve some time together.

Sarah: *yelps in surprise when she is picked up, but laughs when she is put down. she slides her arms around to his back and massages him, humming happily at his kisses*

Sarah: Funny... looking back, I think it's ridiculous that we didn't think of it any earlier... *briefly kisses him, nuzzling him again*

Sam: ... If only one of us had stepped forward a little sooner... but I was terrified of rejection, and you... well, you know...

He glances down at the scar on his abdomen - where Blood Puppet had stabbed him. He fears that, perhaps, he may live with this scar forever*

Sarah: *glances down when he does, and frowns slightly. she very lightly brushes the ends of her fingers against it, remembering how and when it was inflicted, and disliking the memory* ...

Sam: ... ... Do you think it's just a coincidence that he dresses like me? Or... do you think it may have been fate?

Sarah: ...Considering all that's happened to us recently, I wouldn't be surprised if it was fate. Everything's been leading into something else lately... Like it's all been happening for a reason...

Sam: *quietly, as if he fears disturbing something* ... And what reason do you think that could be...?

Sarah: *just as quietly* ...I... I honestly don't know... but you HAVE noticed it, right...? None of these things are random...

Harry: ...M'kay... *he tries lifting his hand to wipe the sweat from his brow, but he doesn't even have the strength to do that*

Sam: ... <:( ... ... Hey, Dad...

Claire: *smiles a bit at this, glad that Harry remembered him* Sam came to visit, he was worried about you.

Claire: *gives Sam a sad look* He has every right to worry, Harry...

Claire: ... *softly* Just try to get some rest, Harry...

Harry: Mhm... *he closes his eyes, trying to go back to sleep. He is faking how much better he feels while conscious, trying not to worry his family*

Sam: *he glances at his mother, a sadness in his eyes*

Claire: *looks back at Sam, the same sadness and worry reflecting in her own gaze. They were both just as concerned, and they both knew what Harry's chances of survival were--all they could do was wait. And waiting hurt*

*around a week later, Sam waited in the waiting room of the hospital, having heard the news that Sarah has made a full recovery.*

Sam: *He smiles a little to himself, tapping his foot on the ground impatiently, making a clack-clack-clack-clack noise against the hard floor*

Sarah: *comes out to the waiting room, feeling just a teensy bit unsteady, but mostly normal* Gosh, impatient, aren't we? <:)

Sam: *his small smile breaks into a grin and he runs over to Sarah, pulling her into a tight hug* You have no idea...!

Sarah: *hugs him back just as tightly* To be honest, I really wanted to just get out of that bed. I missed being home...

Sam: And I missed you... c'mon - I bet your legs are sore. Walking'll be good for them. *walks with her out to the parking lot*

Sarah: *walks with him, glad to finally be stretching her legs out* Ahh... Walking feels nice... *grins at Sam* Walking down the aisle will be better...

Sam: After all this time, and all this tension around it, you have no freaking idea.

Sarah: *puts an arm around him* Oh, I'm pretty sure I know how you're feeling. The sooner we get to do this, the better...

Sam: *grinning at her* No kidding - *kisses her, then gets on his motorcycle, waiting for Sarah to follow*

Sarah: *hops onto the motorcycle behind him, putting her arms around his waist and hanging on tightly, resting her head against his back* <3

Sam: *this makes his smile widen again, and he drives off to their apartment, quickly arriving. Sam opens the door for Sarah, holding it for her*

Sarah: *walks into the apartment, giving Sam a polite thank you, then almost immediately collapses onto the couch* Oh my goooood, I missed this couch. X)

Sam: *walks in, closing the door behind him* I can only imagine. XD Hospitals stink - I would know.

Sarah: Yeah... <:/ *pushes herself up off the couch with a grunt* But that's all over and done with, right? We have more important matters at hand. :P

Claire: *answers the door* Hello, Sam. Come in-- *steps aside to let him in* I heard about what happened to Sarah, is she doing alright? <:/

Sam: She's doing much better now, thanks for asking. Uh... sorry I couldn't come see Dad these last few days... <:(

Claire: That's alright... his condition hasn't changed, really. I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing... <:/

Claire: I guess you're right... You can go up and see him if you want, he's asleep right now...

Sam: Alright. Thanks, Mom. *he heads up, entering his parents's bedroom. He looks on at his father from the door, sadly watching him*

Claire: *squeezes past Sam with another ice pack, muttering a quiet "excuse me" as she does so. she sits down on the edge of the bed, and replaces the ice pack already on Harry's forehead* ...He's been like this for a WHILE....

Sam: ... but he'll get better... he HAS to get better...

Harry: *sighs a little in relief when the new ice pack is placed on his head*

Claire: *nods. She knows the possibility of Harry surviving this is slim, but she can't give up on him just yet* ...

Sam: ... He's better than he was before... that's good...

Harry: *asleep, suffering*

Claire: Mhmm... He just has to keep fighting it.

Sam: ... He can do it... he can fight it... Sarah fought POISON... HE can fight a fever...

Harry: *groggily wakes up, weakly calling out to no one in particular* ...Whassit...?

Claire: Hey, Harry... *puts a hand on his cheek, rubbing it with her thumb* How are you feeling...? <:(

Claire: *doesn't pull her hand away* A few days ago... but you should be alright in a little while...

Sarah: *frowns* I'm sorry... didn't think there'd be anything in the water...

Sam: ... I know - I'm not blaming you... I'm... I'm blaming CELINE... for DOING THAT to you...

Sarah: ...Don't get too mad about it... She's in jail, she should learn her lesson...

Sam: ... ... *he sighs sadly, looking away from Sarah* ... Blood Puppet broke her out of jail... I found out today...

Sarah: *her eyes widen a bit at this* What...!? That's... *sighs* WELL then...

Sam: ... Blood Puppet's probably protecting her now. For what reason I have no idea - he was never one to work with others... I mean, you SAW what happened to his last partner - Hobbes murdered him in his own jail cell!

Sarah: *nods slightly* I remember... You have to be more careful now... she knows a lot about you...

Sam: ... Right... I wish I could just go after those two NOW, but you'd probably kill me for trying to go without you... <:P

Sarah: *laughs a bit at this* You're right, I probably would... Can't let you get hurt, you know...
