Harry: Let's do the same. Eclipse was able to help me find a room for three people. Now we won't be separated. Follow me. *walks to the residential area*

*a door closes nearby*

Key: that must've been Riolu. *pauses* .....how long are we going to be here, Harry?

Harry: *still walks* ... last time I came here, it was for a year... but the others had been here longer. I don't know how long this will take.

Key: !! A-A year!? You've got to be kidding. We can't be STUCK here for a year!

Harry: Yeah? Well imagine how I felt when I was here. I was pulled at the time when Todd had gone kinda crazy... imagine waiting a year to help your best friend - your ONLY friend - and even THEN, it was all for nothing! I came back to the infection! I came back to have Todd attack me!

Key: D: ..... nn... *has nothing to say to that* ....

Harry: *snorts and lets out a single, false laugh* I sound spiteful, don't I?

*they arrive at the room*

Harry: *he takes out a key, and opens the door to let Key in (lol)*

Key: *goes into the room* you have a good reason to be, though... What right do they have to bring us here in the first place anyway...?

Harry: They have every right. They created us, plan out our lives, and even write what we say. They own us. *enters the room. It had three beds exactly, and one bathroom*

Key: w-wait. WHAT!? Whaddo you mean, created us? D8 W-We had families, entire lives, and it's all made up!?

Harry: Yeah. When I first heard that, right outta the Raccoon's mouth, I kinda... lost my will to live for a while. Though I guess also hearing that I was supposed to turn into a zombie, and that Todd was ALREADY a zombie had something to do with it.

Key: *on the verge of a complete freakout* Everything about us is controlled by a RACCOON and a GOLDFISH!?

Harry: Well, it's no different from, say, God. It just happens to be two ridiculous animals.

Key: Oh, great. GREAT. GREAT. *throws her arms up in the air, then abriptly sits down on the edge of one of the beds* So they do all this to us? make ALL of this happen? every single horrible thing that happens to us is all part of their plan?

Harry: *he snorts* Hell yeah. I've been living with that knowledge way before meeting you.

Key: *goes into a shocked silence. this definitely explained a LOT* ....

Harry: It scares me. It really does. It makes me wonder what will happen in the future. Or if we even have a future. These... creators of ours... they're cruel.

Key: *scoffs* Th-that's a freaking UNDERSTATEMENT. And here i thought we just had horrible luck... Do any of the others know? I mean... besides those who've been here before.

Harry: I think all of the main character's in Eclipse and Jacob's world know about them.

Key: they're all the talking animals, right? No wonder they weren't as panicked or confused as the rest of us...

Harry: That dragon seems to know the furries. Maybe he's a part of their world, too.

Key: the big white one? .... he's on the other side.... but... he saved Todd. Why would he do that?

Harry: I have no idea, but I'm grateful as hell. C'mon, we should sleep. *he removes his armor, and crawls into his bed*

Key: ..... *pulls off her hoodie, and crawls into bed as well*

*they sleep, but not together, because that's gross*

THE NEXT MORNING

Harry: *has woken up early. He puts on his armor. He knows how early the alarm can ring, and is quite prepared* ...

Me: XD

Key: *was awoken by Harry moving around* mmmh.... oh...! *sits up, and stretches* nnyrr. *grabs her hoodie and puts it on, then sits on the edge of her bed* ...gotta go see Todd...

Todd: ... well Mickey Mouse is hella possible in cartoons, then...

Jacob: I'm only reminding you, it's going to be a few HOURS for the morphine to wear off.

Key: I know.

Riolu: *looks up at Key curiously. she seemed serious* ... I'm gonna go find my room... It was nice meeting you all. :D

Key: It was nice meeting you too, umm...

Riolu: Oh! My name's Riolu. :)

Key: You can call me Key. :)

Todd: ... and I am Mr. Hunter the Nommer of Guts... pleasure to meet you, child-sir...

Jacob: Is his level of loopiness going backwards?

Key: It's kinda hard to tell. XD No, i think he's still a bit loopy...

Riolu: Nice to meet you too ^^; i'll.. see ya tomorrow, then! :D *runs off*

Key: heheh... Cute kid.

Jacob: Amazing how the simple will of a powerful being can bring us all together in such a manner... *sponges Todd*

Todd: ... stop that... D;

Jacob: This is important, uh... Todd. It'll help with the burns so that when the drugs wear off, the pain won't be as bad, and healing will take a shorter amount of time.

Key: *looks at Todd, then at Jacob* ...hey, I could do that if you want to go get some rest...

Jacob: Please. Be my guest. *hands the sponge over to Key* I'm tired of standing, anyway. I'll see you tomorrow, perhaps. *leaves*

Todd: ... and then there were two...

Key: mhmmm.... *sponges Todd* ...are you feeling any better? <:(

Todd: ... Well, maybe being high as hell has something to do with it, but yeah, I THINK I am... *he was aware of his situation - a sign that he was returning to his senses a little bit* ... why did he attack you...?

Key: *pauses to think* ...he said something about not liking anybody who was friends with Harry... *sponges* which also explains why he set you on fire...

Todd: ... did Harry do something to him...? *pauses* My imaginary eyes still itch.

Key: *laughs a bit at his comment* Not that I know of.. maybe it's something that happened last time. *sponges*

Todd: ... right... there was a "last time"... Harry was on the other side, last time...

Key: maybe that's why... I'll make sure to ask him later

Me: sleeping. ttyl. i will be gone tomorrow for most of the day.

Todd: *almost pathetically* ... kay...

Me: aw. D: Well, ok.

Me: whoa-kay, looks like i can stay up a while longer. :D

Key: Hey... *lightly places her hand on his so she doesn't hurt him if he's burned there* Don't worry, we'll be fine... the giant lizard got a scolding anyway. Hopefully he'll calm'down...

Todd: ... I love you, Key... I don't want that lizard to do anything bad to you...

Key: He won't. *lightly rubs his hand with her thumb to reassure him* And I won't let this happen again.

Todd: *he smiles at her* ... you should go rest, or something. I'm fine, here...

Key: are you sure? *is still worrying about him* ...alright. *puts the sponge down on a nearby table, then returns. she places a hand on Todd's head, and lightly places a kiss on his forehead* ...I'll be back in the morning, okay?

Riolu: *had been outside the door the entire time. he decides he's heard enough to confirm his suspicions, and runs off to his room before Key (or Todd) have a chance to spot him*

Todd: *gives her another smile* Alright... I'll... uh... wait right here... heh...

Harry: *having flagged down a room for three people, he was waiting for Key in the main hall* ...

Riolu: *sees Harry* !! *finds no way to avoid him on the way back to his room, so he tries to simply walk past as innocently as he can* <.<

Key: *smiles at Todd, and leaves, headed back to the main hall*

Harry: *to Riolu* why are you out here alone?

Riolu: uhh... i went with Key and the doctor guy to see... Todd. *nods* yep. then I got lost comng back ._.

Harry: ... but the medical wing is just one long hallway...

Riolu: I went the wrong way D:

Key: *comes into the main hallway and spots Harry and Riolu* Oh. Hey, Harry. Riolu, didn't you go back to your room a while ago? :/

Riolu: umm... >.>

Harry: He never passed through here until now. He said he got lost.

Key: ... Isn't the medical wing just one long hallway...?

Riolu: I went the wrong way. D:

Key: ... *is really too tired to question it* okay. well, get back to your room already. :P

Rilu: R-Right! D: *runs off*

Jacob: Oh BAH. I'm sure you're plenty good on your own - after all, you were the one fighting, your... er... "trainer" just sat back and gave the orders. *continues sponging*

Todd: *had woken up. He sounds... high. his voice is slow, and unsure* ... my skin feels fuzzy...

Harry: ! Todd!

Todd: where am I...?

Jacob: The medical wing.

Todd: ... my eyes itch...

Harry: Todd, you don't have eyes.

Todd: ... oh... right...

Key: ! *turns back to face Todd* Uhhh, is he okay? He sounds a bit.. odd.

Riolu: *looks past Key at Todd* ... was he hit with a fire move?

Key: ...stupid giant lizard...

Riolu: ... D: *looks to Jacob and Harry for an answer*

Harry: Malvagita set him on fire. Malvagita, by the way, is supposed to be on OUR side.

Jacob: Ugh... I prefer him as a kid. At least THEN, he had ethics to follow. *to Key* the kind of analgesic I gave him was morphine, so yeah, he's gonna be a little loopy.

Todd: ...Someone needs to fix this room up... yellow is an ugly color...

Jacob: *looks at the white walls around him* yellow?

Harry: Oh, he sees with echolocation. I think his brain can only see yellow since he was infected. Same with me. It has something to do with the Green Flu. Maybe it deems seeing in color not important, so it turns that off.

Riolu: *is trying to keep up with all the unfamiliar terms* ....>.>;

Key: mhmm... *sighs, now fully calmed down. Todd's okay, albeit a bit loopy. He'll get better* ....

Riolu: ....

Harry: You know what? I am going to cherish everything that comes out of Todd's mouth right now, and mock him for it later.

Todd: ... Key? fracking lizards, how do they work...?

Harry: Like that. I want a coffee mug that says that.

Jacob: *tries not to laugh*

Todd: ... I don't... I don't understand anymore... I don't get it... and I don't get why I can't feel anything... am I broken...?

Jacob: Is he normally this talkative?

Harry: He's worse when he gets drunk, but that's rare.

Key: *smacks Harry upside the head* Harry. There's a kid in here.

Jacob: Maybe that would be best. Morphine takes a few hours to wear off, and there's no point talking to him now. Go explore your rooms or something, and I'll continue treating him. *sponges Todd*

Todd: D: ... Key's leaving...?

Key: ...I can stay if you want, Todd.

Riolu: ....? *has an "AHA" moment. Todd and Key like each other!*

Todd: ...I would like that... :D

Harry: I'll leave. I'll try to get Eclipse to help me find a room for three people. *walks out*

Jacob: Good luck with that... *continues sponging Todd*

Key: *goes to stand next to the table, placing her hands on it. she sighs* Figures... we get taken out of one hell and get thrown right into another.

Riolu: ... *joins Key next to the table* ....

Todd: ... Oh, this isn't Hell... we got to meet so many new people...

Jacob: Uh... that's ONE way to look at this. >_>;

Riolu: *is rather relieved by Todd's positivity... everyone else seemed to be so grim...* Well, he IS right... *looks at Key* Is he always happy?

Key: heheh, yeah... most of the time anyway. He's gotten Harry and I through some tough times.

Todd: ... zombies are also very polite people to meet, when they don't want your insides...

Jacob: Oh, morphine. You've always made people say crazy things.

Riolu: *giggles a bit* He really IS confused... He sounds like Milo did when she accidentally ate a berry... X3

Riolu: If you eat them, you get all loopy. >.>

Key: ...? *makes the connection* Oh.

Jacob: Berries? But... wait. Oh.

Todd: ... if I went back in time, I would still have two eyes in my head... but nor four, or one, because that would be weird... just two, and I would never ever try to claw them out again...

Jacob: Wait - what?

Key: *winces a bit at the thought. She hadn't seen him do it, but the image in her mind is rather gruesome* I... don't think I should explain this right now.

Riolu: .... *connects the dots, and then regrets it* oh..

Jacob: ... so... where did you guys come from? It seems like a nasty place, just from listening to you, no-eyes, and Harry speak. Is it?

Todd: ...It's a good place, it just got kinda rotten...

Jacob: I'm not trusting his description of the place.

Key: *laughs a bit* It's not far from the truth, actually... This disease called the Green Flu started infecting people... no one really knows how it started, but it spread really quickly.... If you weren't Immune, you would be killed by the military for being a carrier of the virus... or you would turn into an Infected... all they do is attack everything in sight... *one hand unconsciously travels to her stomach* ....

Riolu: So... If you got sick, you'd turn into a monster?

Key: ... *looks at Todd... and nods* yeah. But...

Riolu: ...?

Todd: *he frowns slightly* ... oh... well there WAS a cure...

Jacob: ... that explains how he looks like that. I kept wondering what happened to his skin.

Key: ...i was getting to that... It's just easy to forget sometimes. *smiles at Todd*

Riolu: So... he used to be an Infected? O.O

Key: *nods* but we cured him. *puts her hand back down on the table* Harry too. We gave him the cure as he was... changing...

Jacob: This... Green Flu. It honestly sounds like it came right out of a cheap-o zombie movie. It doesn't even sound possible... but... I guess I'm no person to judge. After all, I'm sure that in YOUR universe, talking fuzzy things don't sound possible.

Todd: ... Mickey Mouse was hella possible.

Key: *smiles and shakes her head* Only in cartoons, Todd...

Riolu: *nods, beginning to understand*

Todd: Lies! *starts slashing at him*

Mal: Haha! You can't pierce scales, eyeless thing!

Todd: More lies! *he tries harder, getting frustrated*

Mal: *sets him on fire*

Todd: Ahh! AHHH!! *is highly flammable*

Eclipse: *finds the weak point in it's head, and slashes the plate off*

Robot: *already getting damamged from Twilight's work*

Riolu: I-I'm fine! My moves wouldn't work on it... It must be a ghost type... D:

Absol: Well, lucky you that i showed up, huh?

Key: D8> TODD! *Is about to pull a gun on Mal, when--*

Mikenno: *sees the scene from above. still feeling his ties with the Deriviti, he decides to take action. he dives toward Mal and Todd, and lands very near them, the wind from his flapping wings blowing the trio back and putting out the flames like a candle. He turns to Mal* Remember who your allies are. *grins toothily* Your mother will not be pleased. *justifies his landing by blasting a dozen Deriviti zombies with his fire breath, then takes off again*

Kay: .... *is confused by Mikenno's actions, but doesn't question them-- there are more pressing matters at hand she gets up and runs towards where Todd fell*

Todd: *Is quite burned, shivering on the ground*

Malvagita: I lash out at anyone who gets to close. And I DO NOT like anyone who is friends with that "Harry" overlander. Remember this always. *runs off to attack more people*

Harry: *notices* TODD! D:

C. Eclipse: *bores a hole in the robot's head. He shouts down at Twilight* HEY! I'VE MADE AN ENTRY POINT!

Key: no no no no! the one time i don't have my bag! *mentally curses the FISH and the RACCOON, and stands over Todd, the best thing she can do for him now is to protect him until the fight ends... whenever that will be* nrrrr....

Meanwhile

Twilight: *stops on the robot's shoulder* Really? HELL YEAH. *jumps up and turns spinball, going straight for the opening*

Something blue and brown: *spinballs down next to her*

Together: *they bore into the robot's head*

Todd: *through the pain, he hisses at Key, but can't move*

Harry: Don't get too close to him.

Malvagita: *goes after Reginald*

Reginald: I say! You sir, are quite rude!

Malvagita: Silence! *fireballs*

Key: *only grunts as a response-- she's too focused on killing things right now*

Twilight: *feels the thing start to keel over* Aw CRAP! Come on! *jumps out of the hole in the head*

Me: I believe it's pronounced NOH-MEE-NAY. I didn't name the character, and I haven't used her... in a long time o.o

Eclipse: *walks back over the the rest of them* We've won today. I guess we should return to the stronghold.

Harry: We can't.

Eclipse: Why not?

Harry: *points at Todd* He's still in pain.

Eclipse: So? We can fix him back at the stronghold!

Harry: No, we can't touch him until the pain isn't dangerous anymore.

Houndour: *walking back over to them, talking to himself* Eh. I've been in worse fights.

Absol: *to Malgavita* Trust him-- he's been in worse fights.

Riolu: *shivers when he remembers the evil trainers*

Ryu: *lands near them* I assume today is only a temporary victory.

Key: *Is very very tempted to go and start yelling at Mal* ......

Houndour: One of those fights ended up getting me killed, anyway. Less fight, more curbstomp.

*they finally meet up with the others*

Malvagita: *notices the hissing Todd* Oh, he's quite angry at me, isn't he?

Harry: *glares at him* You have no idea. You're lucky he can't move.

Malvagita: Why are we just standing here?

Eclipse: We're waiting for him to "not be dangerous", or something.

Malvagita: ... *steps up to Todd*

Todd: *suddenly turns and snarls angrily at Malvagita, lashing out at him with his claws*

Malvagita: *smacks him hard upside the head before he can touch him*

Todd: !! *falls over unconcious*

Malvagita: Fixed. Can we go, now?

Key: *TSUNTSUN, ACTIVATE* D8< *pulls out her guns again, and is about to unload on Malgavita when--*

Twilight: !! *sees her start running and grabs her arm* Hey! We're not supposed to fight each other!

Key: He's the one that hurt Todd in the first time!! D8< *tries to free herself from Twilight's grip*

Twilight: *is hanging on pretty damn tight*

Malvagita: *gives Key his best asshole grin* Well, he was keeping us from going back to the stronghold, anyway.

Eclipse: LET'S GO NOW, BEFORE AN ARGUMENT STARTS.

Harry: Or worse.

Twilight: *has to drag Key to the teleporters*

Key: *is not happy. at ALL*

Harry: ... *picks Todd up, and carries him to the teleporters*

Everyone: *follows, and enters the stronghold*

Harry: *to Key* I'll take Todd to the medical wing. Come if you like. *walks*

Eclipse: So... to all those who are new here, the living quarters are to the far right.

Jacob: Welcome back.

Eclipse: Find a way to be useful.

Jacob: ... nice to see you as your cheery self.

Houndour: *goes straight to the living quarters*

Newman: *follows and bothers him along the way*

Key: .... *follows Harry to the medical wing*

Riolu: .... *is curious about the non-trainer-non-pokemon-not-beast people, and follows them to the medical wing*

Twilight: Not quite... you're supposed to fight the other side, Malvagita.

Ryu: *frowns, noticeably disappointed*

Eclipse: Jacob, the eyeless overlander's gonna need a doctor.

Jacob: Hm? Oh! Oh, right! *runs off to follow the group to the medical wing*

AT THE MEDICAL WING*

Harry: *looks around for a place to put Todd* ...

Jacob: *entering* Hey! Just put him over on that table over there, I'll deal with him in a second. *getting the tools from various cabinets*

Harry: *he nods, and puts Todd on the table, as directed*

Todd: *...*

Key: *had calmed down. she was about to start treating Todd herself, but didn't upon realizing that Jacob was an actual doctor, so she kind of just stands there and watches* ....

Riolu: *is peeking through the door* ....

Jacob: Too bad he's wearing such heavy clothing. Taking it off would be dangerous, and could cause bleeding. How bad did he get burned?

Harry: He was set on fire...

Jacob: Oy. That sounds a tad painful. But we do need to get the clothing off, or else the burns can't be treated. If the clothing melted onto his skin, then it needs to be cut off.

Harry: Uh... I can TRY to take the clothes off...

Jacob: *smirking* enjoy every moment of it. >:P

Harry: SHADDUP. D//:< *he carefully pulls Todd's hoodie and t-shirt off*

Todd: *his hoodie saved him from any severe burns, and had ended up with only first-degree burns*

Jacob: oh, well that's easy to treat, then. *puts some ice around Todd's burns, then gives him some analgesic* the burn will heal itself.

Key: *is not amused. she frowns, and crosses her arms* >:/

Riolu: *is just watching* ....

Jacob: *snickers a bit*

Jacob: *spots Riolu* Oh! We've got us a spy!

Harry: Except for Malvagita.

Jacob: Well no, never him. *dampens Todd's burns with a wet sponge*

Harry: It's awful that we have to do this again... unless you've never done this. In that case, it's awful nonetheless.

Riolu: ...this is my first time here...

Key: It's mine too. And Todd's.

Riolu: *looks up* Really? How were you fighting so well?

Key: ...We had to fight a lot where we come from...

Riolu: oh... me too... *looks down again* I miss Ranger...

Harry: Ranger?

Jacob: You must come from the same universe as Houndour. Am I correct?

Todd: *...*

Riolu: *nods* Yup. Abby-Err, Absol too. I think they liked each other. Ranger... he was my trainer, but also my friend. He would never do anything bad to me. D:

Key: trainer?

Riolu: For battling. Though, i still haven't battled too much... I'm no good without Ranger...
