Mehnit: *snarls right back, but makes the mistake of looking into his eyes--Key's rage immediately vanishes, and Mehnit quickly loses her grip on her hosts' mind. She also goes blank, the snarl dying in her throat as Key turns back to normal* ...

Su'yola: *sidesteps him, his claws grazing her arm. she hisses in pain, shocked by how deep a wound they made--she knew already this wasn't a fight she could win. she backs away from him, trying to keep some distance between them, teeth bared threateningly*

Life City Soldiers: *suddenly appear and surround him*

Key: *doesn't turn--it's as if she had just run out of anger. she feels empty now, the knowledge that Todd's death was her fault making her numb to everything else. She falls to her knees next to him, and sobs*

Su'yola: *doesn't follow. she silently heads back to the mayor's building, and her room, hoping that the guilt will fade*

Todd: *dead*

Iratus: *whines*

Blood Puppet: Shouldn't we move?

Soldiers: *chase him*

Claire: Moving would be a good idea.

Shezmul: *he picks up a soldier and throws him at Key* RAAGH!! D8<

Shezmul: *he leaps over to Todd's body, and feels Harry's rage grow* Hahaha! THIS weakling... *he picks up the body and grins at the surge of anger he feels* WEAK! EMOTIONAL AND PATHETIC! *he then chucks the body far away* A wonder why you care for such a sniveling creature...

Iratus: !!! *he quickly tacks Key to the ground*

Key: DB<!!! *immediately turns again, thrashing against Iratus, screeching furiously*

Iratus: *holds Mehnit's head still and STARES*

Blood Puppet: ... *he decides to slaughter the guards while they're distracted*

Necromancers: *from the shadows, they come and drag Todd's body away quietly*

Key: !!!!!-- *goes blank again, and turns back* ...

Shidako: *suddenly leaps out from the top of a building, slamming into Shezmul from above* D8<

Shezmul: *he is slammed to the ground, and lies there, dazed for a moment*

Lucifer: We missed quite a lot, I suppose. What happened?

Iratus: *looks away from Key* (Father! The mayor came! He made the one dragon lady kill Todd!) D8>

Sam: D8 !!! *looks over at Sarah* D8>

Key: *doesn't really try to struggle against him*

Sarah: D8>!!!??

Shidako: *looks up, distracted by the news* D8!!???

Claire: We need to turn Harry back and LEAVE! NOW!

Iratus: *nuzzles as best as he can*

Todd: ... S'not yer... fault... *he misses a few times before placing his hand over Key's* ... S'not... *he seems to lose focus, his eyes being glassy and blank. Dead*

Key: ...Todd? *quietly* Oh god, no, no no no no, not again, please, not again...!!

Mia: *finds a small comfort in the gesture, but it doesn't change her mindset--she refuses to look at Todd and Key*

Zorua: *is now whining inconsolably*

Claire: ! *casts a concerned glance over at Harry--she has a feeling she knows what's coming, and she takes a slight step away from him*

Todd: *dead*

Harry: *suddenly screams in pure rage* THEY RUIN EVERYTHING!! EVERYTHING!! WE FOUND HIM -- AND FOR WHAT?? Key: *doesn't even have time to mourn before Harry's words trigger her own rage--and she too loses control over her body to Mehnit*

Shezmul: Oh yesss... very bad, indeed... I wonder where that woman who killed Todd went. I need to sharpen my claws on SOMETHING...

Mehnit: I propose a truce, then. We hunt her down, and kill anything that gets in the way, without killing each other. For now. Sound like a deal?

Todd: *he doesn't look at Harry, instead he speaks to Occulta* Present for you. *hands him the eyes*

Todd: Stole them, but what's the difference, nowadays?

Su'yola: D8>!?!? *REALLY doesn't want to do it, but her self-preservation instinct kicks in and she shoves that inhibition aside--she mutters an apology in her own language, then lashes out suddenly, driving her claws into his chest*

Todd: *lets out a choked gasp* D8> !!??

Blood Puppet: ...

Su'yola: *mumbles the same apology under her breath, over and over as she pulls her claws out of his chest and steps away from him--she regretted her decision as soon as she made it. She should have run, escaped, anything but hurt him--but she did*

Key: *can only stare in horror--no no no god no, they just found him they couldn't just kill him, not NOW* D8>!!!!!

Todd: *he stumbles back before falling backwards, hitting the ground hard. His mask obscures all his pain and agony, as well as the amounts of blood pushing out of his throat and dribbling down his mouth and nose. The whole in his front bleeds dangerously fast, and before Todd can lose control of himself, he goes numb. But Todd doesn't care. Todd... DESERVES this. He deserves ALL of this, doesn't he?*

Occulta: We're done here. Come, Su'yola. *walks off*

Harry: TODD!! D8>

Su'yola: *follows Occulta, refusing to look back, ignoring the blood on her hands*

Key: D8> ... *finally gathers her wits enough to go to Todd, and kneels next to him. she puts her hands over the wound, but she can already tell that there's no saving him* T-Todd...? D8>

Todd: *makes a few choking noises before speaking to Key* ... Lemme die, Key... I'm just a frackin'... asshole. Don't deserve... you...

Harry: *gawks in horror*

Blood Puppet: *feels slightly relieved that Todd's dying*

Key: No no no, shh, that's not true... *takes her hands off his chest for a moment to remove his mask, so he can breathe a bit more easily (don't lie to yourself, you just want to see his face before he dies)*

Su'yola: *briefly considers following Todd, but his change of attitude discouraged her... she'll try to talk to him again later. she goes to her room*

Su'yola: !! *the bullet grazes her shoulder, and she hisses angrily, swinging her tail at the criminal's arm, trying to knock the weapon out of his hands*

Vigilante: *he loses his grip on the gun and it falls to the ground, firing off in a random direction from the contact* AHH!! D8

Su'yola: *lunges at him again, trying to pin him to the ground*

Vigilante: *is pinned* !!!!!

Todd: *emerges* Hah. Weak.

Su'yola: *holds the vigilante's arms to the ground so he can't try to escape, a low growl rumbling in her throat* Why are you freeing these slaves?
